The usual guest
A guest asked for a oneshot of someone saying Emma resembles her father.
"Again Will?" Emma sighed as she came into the now all too familiar setting of the Rabbit Hole bar. The station was getting called almost every Friday and Saturday night here to deal with the drunken Will Scarlet. Whoever was on the night shift- Emma or her father- would come and take him to the cell to sober up.
"'Ello girly sheriff!" Will greeted Emma. "I'm behaving myself, honest." Emma just rolled her eyes.
"That's not what the bar staff tell me I'm afraid. I hear you're falling asleep at the table and refusing to leave. So come on, let's take you to what's fast becoming your second home. I think you've had a little too much beer…and gin…and shots…jeez no wonder you're in such a state." Emma commented looking at the scattering of empty glasses.
"I'll have you know girly sheriff that back in England pubs don't chuck a man in jail for having a little kip." Will said, finishing it with a little hiccup. Emma just rolled her eyes.
"Yeah yeah yeah Will. Come on." Emma said, yanking him up."
"Woh watch it!" He complained. "You're strong for a girl, you know. You're nearly as strong as your old man."
"Well I'm tougher than you think so don't try anything funny." Emma warned him as she led him to the cruiser. She didn't bother trying to stick him in the back, she just put him into the front passenger seat before getting in herself. Will leaned closer to her. Emma was repulsed by the stench of his breath. She shoved him back.
"In case you aren't aware you're in serious need of a breath mint or some gum so keep back." Emma told him.
"Sorry. It's just come to think of it, you're really like your dad." He commented. Emma couldn't help the slight flush of pink to her cheeks. She'd never really compared herself to her parents. All anyone ever mentioned was the chin.
"Is that so?" Emma said casually, driving to the station.
"Very so. It's creepy. You'd be bangable if whenever I look at you I didn't see a glimpse of him." Emma rolled her eyes and stayed silent for the rest of the journey and the night.
Charming came in the next morning to relieve Emma of her duty.
"Morning Em." He yawned, putting his jacket on the coat hanger. He saw Will sitting on the bench rubbing a sore head. "Ah, our usual weekend guest? Did he behave himself?" Emma nodded, putting on her jacket.
"Yeah, just said I look a lot like you." She told him. Charming's eyebrows went up in pleasant surprise.
"Oh, really?" He said, smiling at Emma. "Well, someone might be getting out early. Come to think of it my girl does take after me." He said, gently nudging Emma's shoulder. Emma smiled, was that pride she felt? Pride at looking like her dad? Yeah, she guessed it was. Charming himself felt pretty proud. His girl looked like him. It was a nice reminder that after everything Emma was still his little girl…but then Emma remembered something else.
"See you later dad. Oh, he also said I would be bangable if I wasn't so like you. Have a nice morning!" Emma said as she left. Charming's smiled turned immediately to a scowl. Will would definitely not be getting out early now. He'd be lucky to get out on time.
