Little heroes- part 2
libby1216 asked for a oneshot of a continuation to chapter 106 where Emma and Neal both try and sneak out of their rooms and get caught by their parents.
Snow and Charming were both waiting at the bottom of the stairwell, well, hiding would be a better word. Emma and Neal had both been grounded for a week now. Snow and Charming were both sure their children were going to crack today and try to sneak out. They didn't have to wait long. At about half past nine they saw Emma creeping down the stairs (bare foot, not wanting to make any noise).
"Aha!" Snow shouted as both she and Charming sprung up from their hiding place. Emma leaped about a foot in the air and spun around. She gulped, realising she'd been caught.
"Where exactly do you think you're going, young lady?" Charming asked, folding his arms across his chest. "You're grounded- ergo you should not be leaving your room."
"Uh…bathroom?" Emma tried. Snow and Charming both raised their eyebrows.
"You've easily passed about seven different bathrooms on your way down here." Snow pointed out. "Are you trying to make your grounding longer by lying to us?" She asked sternly. Emma looked down guiltily.
"I'm sorry." She mumbled. "I just wanted to go sit in the garden for a little while. I was going to be good, honest." Snow and Charming knew particularly Emma was a little adventurer and being stuck inside was hard for her. But both she and Neal had to learn this lesson. They couldn't go putting themselves in harms way.
"Well since you've apologised so sincerely we won't add any extra time to your grounding. But I will escort you straight back up to your bedroom, little lady." Snow moved over and took Emma's hand. "Charming, will you please wait here in case trouble maker number two decides to make an appearance?" Charming nodded and settled himself back into his hiding place. He heard Snow heading up the stairs with Emma. "Charming, no need to hide, he's here!" Charming half smiled as he headed up. About two floors up Charming found Snow giving a sheepish looking Neal a stern look. Charming took over and placed a firm hand on Neal's shoulder.
"I think you might have taken a wrong turn to the bathroom as well." He mumbled, guiding Neal back towards his bedroom as Snow did the same with Emma. They had their hands full with these trouble makers!
