Always protective
Doby asked for a oneshot of a lighthearted conversation between Emma and Charming turning serious causing Emma to gulp and say "yes dad".
Noel I'm afraid your request has already been too closely covered.
"Ok ok I couldn't pronounce the letter s as a child." Emma said amusedly as he dad chortled away. "It really wasn't that funny." Emma had found a couple of videos of her childhood in her box and one was her when she was around four years old. Whenever a word came up with the letter s she replaced it with the "sh" sound.
"Oh I don't think it's funny I think it's adorable." Charming told her. "Have you got anymore videos?" Emma shook her head.
"Nope, this is it. Just the two you've seen and the one from Ingrid's place." Charming wrapped an arm around Emma and kissed the side of her head.
"My little cutie." He said proudly. Emma rolled her eyes.
"You have an actual baby, you know. If you want to go gaga you can go do it with Neal." Emma teased him.
"And I do." Charming pointed out. "But as your father it is my job to embarrass you both equally and I've got some catching up to do with you so I may as well use my time before Neal can be embarrassed." Emma just rolled her eyes.
"Man you and I wouldn't have got along during my teen years." Emma commented. Charming just smiled at her.
"No, I can't imagine we would have. For one thing there would have been a boy ban. I'm sure your mother would have tried to have me loosen up on that one but I would have dug my heels in."
"Well just as well I'm thirty now then." Emma said with a grin, but it faded at the stern look from her dad.
"Oh you think I'm giving up that easily because you're with the pirate?" He asked. Emma stayed silent. "I can't stop the pair of you being together, but I can make sure certain ground rules are followed. I have made sure Hook is very much aware of these rules." Emma grimaced, there had been a couple of days a while back where Killian had been quite wary with her, Emma now understood why. "Just you make sure he respects you. And that you respect yourself, understood Emma?" He asked her sternly. Emma gulped at the sternness of his expression.
"Yes dad." That was the last time she tried to joke with him about any subjects he could get protective with!
