Toxic
A guest asked for a oneshot of Charming saving Emma from a toxic relationship. So goes without saying but warning contains domestic abuse.
Emma flinched as she heard the sound of the smashing plate- she knew it was never good news.
"Get in here you useless bitch!" He bawled. Emma knew it was useless to hide, he always found her and it was always worse. She'd been living with Terry for a few of months now and he'd progressively been getting more abusive. He'd banned Emma from having contact with her family, threatening to kill them. This meant Emma had to move to work at Terry's bakery and make excuses as to why she couldn't see her family. Including Henry, he was now permanently living with Regina. Emma slinked into the living room, still a pale yellow bruise covering the left hand side of her face from her last beating.
"You call that a dinner?!" He bellowed. Emma remained silent, unsure of what to say. "WELL?!"
"I'm sorry!" Emma said, beginning to cry. "I'll make you something else…"
"And in the meantime I'll just sit here and starve shall I?" He said, voice dripping with sarcasm. "You're so unbelievabley stupid." He growled. He got up from his chair and grabbed Emma by the hair, smacking her against the wall. Emma gasped at the sudden pain. "You can't do anything right. Maybe another beating will get you at least capable of making an edible plate of spaghetti…" Terry wasn't able to say anymore before someone had pulled him off of Emma and slammed him to the floor and started battering the living Hell out of him. Emma saw that it was her dad.
"You lay one more finger on her and it'll be the last thing you do." Charming snarled. He didn't stop beating up Terry, how could he? The man had been assaulting his daughter. He and Snow had grown suspicious given Emma's sudden reluctance to see them. Charming had decided to come round to check everything was ok and he was glad he did. Emma was not staying here. By this point Emma had sunk to the floor, he legs feeling like jelly. All she could do was watch gratefully as her dad bet Terry to a bloody pulp. "You now have two choices." Charming snarled. "One: You leave town as soon as I leave here with Emma and never return. Or two: I catch sight of you again and your dead." Charming finished with a final blow to the gut before crouching down beside Emma.
"Oh my beautiful girl, what has he done to you?" He whispered, sounding horrified. He ran his finger gently across Emma's still bruised face.
"He said if I left he'd kill you all." Emma wailed.
"Emma, never let anybody treat you like this no matter what they threaten you with. You are far too good for this treatment angel. Come on," Charming picked the weak Emma up into his arms. "You're coming back home, where you belong, where I know my baby is safe." Emma wrapped her arms tightly around Charming's neck, frightened to let go. Charming cast the scum on the floor one final disgusted look before leaving with Emma. Nobody messed with his girl.
