Toys galore
RachelHxxx asked for a oneshot of Snowing getting annoyed at Emma spoiling Neal and her explaining that she does it because she doesn't want him to be told no like she was.
Snow's mouth fell open at the massive pile of toys in Neal's arms as he walked through the door. Emma was just meant to be going grocery shopping with him! Charming came to help with bags and also paused at the large amount of toys the three year old had. This was also not the first time this had happened. Charming rolled his eyes as Emma dumped another couple of bags at the door.
"Emma." He sighed. Emma grinned up at her parents sheepishly.
"Why is Neal yet again carrying a large bundle of toys."
"Because he asked for them. And yes, he said please and thank you, didn't you little man?" Emma answered simply. Neal gave his parents an angelic smile. Snow and Charming looked at each other. They were going to have to talk to Emma about this.
When the shopping was all away and Neal was happily entertained in his room with his new toys Snow and Charming sat Emma down in the living room.
"Emma this has to stop." Snow said sternly. "He can't grow up thinking he'll get things from you willy nilly." Emma shrugged.
"It's my money and it doesn't bother me. If I want to spoil my little brother I will."
"But that's the thing Emma, we don't want him growing up spoiled." Charming replied.
"Would you rather he grew up getting told no every time he asked for something new?" Emma snapped. Her parents were a bit taken aback at the sudden temper. Emma sighed. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have snapped, but when I was younger nobody ever bought me new toys. I was lucky to play with second hand ones. I just want to make sure he never has to go without." Emma explained. Both her parents gave her sympathetic looks.
"We understand Emma, but Neal gets plenty of new toys without having to get them every time he goes out. Why don't we cut down for now and just say only one new toy whenever he goes out with you?" Charming suggested. Emma smiled.
"Deal."
