Her protectors- part 2
Lots of people have asked for a oneshot of "Her protectors" from Snow's POV.
It was testament to how vulnerable Emma felt that she was clinging onto her mother's hand for dear life and she buried her head into her mother's chest whilst the examination took place.
"I'm here." Snow promised her daughter. "You're safe now." Truth be told Snow wanted to break down and cry at what her child had been through. But she wouldn't, at least not while Emma was here and needed her mother to help keep her safe. Snow lay on the bed beside Emma, trying to distract her from what was going on.
"We'll be done soon." The nurse promised. "You're doing really well Emma. The police are waiting to talk to you…"
"I can't!" Emma panicked. "I can't go through it again, not tonight…"
"Emma, it won't be a full enquiry just now. They just want details to catch the perpetrator-"
"If she says she can't tonight they can come back in the morning." Snow warned coolly. Of course Snow wanted the criminal who tried to do unspeakable things to her daughter caught, but she would not put any more pressure on Emma than was necessary. "Tonight they can speak to the man who found her. Emma needs to rest tonight." The nurse nodded in understanding as she finished the examination.
"Emma your father and boyfriend are waiting outside, shall I send them in?" Emma shook her head looking terrified.
"I can't. I know they won't do anything but I can't face any men. Not right now." Snow's heart broke for her little girl, if she ever found the bastard who did this to her she'd kill them.
"I'll go out and explain." Snow said, but Emma wouldn't let her get off the bed.
"Please, don't leave me." Emma pleaded. "I don't want to be alone." Snow ran her thumb across Emma's cheek.
"Ok princess, I won't leave." Snow promised. She looked up to the nurse. "Could you please explain to the boys? Could you ask them to stand guard outside?" The nurse nodded and left the room. "That better honey? Your dad and Killian will stay outside and keep you safe. Nobody's coming in here without their say so." Emma nodded and lay back with her head against Snow's shoulder. Snow wrapped her arms protectively around Emma's shoulders, she wouldn't let anyone scare her again. She would stay awake all night just to keep her safe.
