Second time unlucky
A guest asked for a oneshot of Emma falling into a pool. She is unable to swim and Charming rescues her. Overprotective daddy Charming.
Now, some people claim I hate both Daddy Charming and Snowing. This isn't true, I simply get more requests for mama Snow than anything else. Noel: I've heard your request :). As it happens someone else asked for it before you so it's already (and next) on the list so I will be getting to it. I will be changing it a little though as I feel a baby speaking and an adult babbling (under these circumstances) is too creepy lol.
"Emma are you sure you don't want to come in for a dip? It's awful hot today and it's nice and cool in here." Charming tried to tempt her.
"Yeah, come on mom!" Henry joined in. Emma shook her head and grimaced.
"Nah, I'm good just dipping my legs in from the side thanks. You and little bro have fun though." Charming shrugged but didn't force the issue. He was a little worried that if she just sat there she'd end up with sunburn but Snow had made sure she had a bottle of sun cream (factor fifty no less) sitting beside her and had made sure Charming was reminded her to reapply ever twenty minutes. Snow had to go to some pre-term meeting at the school. Charming focused on his splashing baby boy in front of him. Neal was a right little water baby- he just loved to splash around in baths or the pool. Henry was entertaining his little uncle by spinning him around slowly in the little water seat.
Suddenly, a car backfired just outside. The noise obviously startled Emma as she was applying her sun cream to one of her legs and she ended up tumbling head first into the pool. Charming and Henry laughed for a moment at the situation…until they realised Emma was floundering around panicking.
"I can't swim!" She spluttered. Charming knew Neal was safe with Henry so quickly front crawled over to where Emma was and hauled her out of the pool. Emma got onto her hands and knees and started to cough. Charming firmly patted her back.
"Breath princess." He said. He continued the motion until Emma's breathing returned to normal. Emma sat back down normally. Charming knelt down beside her. "Are you alright honey?" He asked. Emma nodded. "Are you sure? You could have swallowed a lot of pool water. I should call Whale. No, Doc, I trust Doc more. Yeah," Charming gently helped Emma up before she knew what was going on an set her down on the lounge chair. "I'm going to go inside and call Doc to come over and check on you…"
"Dad, really there's no need." Emma called over to him. "I'll just sit here for a few minutes then I'll be fine to go back by the pool…"
"Emma you are not going anywhere near that pool unless I'm with you." Charming said sternly. "I've saved you from large bodies of water twice now and I don't want to ever make it a third time." Charming looked over to Henry. "Watch your mother as well as your uncle for me please kid. If she tries to come near the pool again shout on me."
"You cannot seriously be telling my own twelve year old to babysit me?!" Emma shrieked.
"Yes I can." Charming replied. "Now sit there and don't move until Doc has said you're ok." Charming told her before going inside to call Doc. He wasn't going to risk anything going wrong- not with his princess.
