Age mix up
Chlollie and Noel asked for a oneshot of Emma and Neal accidentally switching ages and Snow and Charming's reactions.
Red stared at the baby in her hands like they were a bomb about to explode.
"There is no babysitting guide that tells you what to do when this happens!" Red shrieked. She looked across to where the man sat beside her on the couch, blinking, shell shocked. Red barely had any time to take in the situation herself when Snow and Charming came home. Red's heart pounded in her chest. How was she meant to describe this?! Snow and Charming were smiling happily when they came into the room, but there smiles faded when they saw the strange man on the couch beside Red. He looked awfully familiar…and awfully frightened. And why did Red have Neal in a dress with a bow in his hair?
"Um Red, what's going on?" Charming asked. "Who's this guy? Why is Neal dressed like a girl? Is Emma still practising upstairs?" Charming fired the questions at her. Red shook her head.
"Emma's not upstairs anymore." She said. She then nodded at the baby. "This is Emma." She followed by nodding at the man. "That's Neal. Emma's switched them around." Red could see the shock on both parents' faces. "I already called Regina. She said Emma's magical skill means she can only have switched them for a couple of hours." Red said quickly. Snow and Charming stared at their son. They knew the transformation wasn't permanent, and that he wouldn't be able to remember this. He seemed to be completely mute right now.
"You're going to be so very handsome." Snow said. Charming nodded beside him.
"A chip off the old block, son." Charming said proudly. But both parents knew they would see their son grow to be this age in real life. They would never again have the chance to see their baby daughter.
"And you." Charming said softly as both walked over to Red. Charming carefully took the little girl from Red's arms and looked into her tiny face. She looked up at him with her big green eyes. Charming could have cried. She was just so beautiful. "You are just the most beautiful little girl this world has ever known." He cooed. He reached forward and kissed her tiny lips. He could feel Snow peering over his shoulder at their little girl. He didn't want to hand her over, but after a few minutes of holding her knew he had to share. They didn't know if they would ever get a moment like this again. He passed her over gently to her mother.
"Hey there angel." Snow whispered. "Did you have a bit of an uh-oh? Well that's ok, it'll sort itself soon. Until then mommy and daddy will look after you." Snow promised, rocking the little girl back and forth. Neither parent had noticed that from the moment Charming slipped Emma out of Red's arms she'd taken her phone out and was snapping away at them both holding Emma- she knew they'd want a permanent record of this. Snow and Charming just decided to enjoy the moment with Emma particularly, seeing as she'd never again be a baby whereas Neal would one day become a man. Well, Snow and Charming both knew Emma would always be their baby too- this just reminded them why.
