Paying her back

A guest asked for a oneshot of a sick Mary Margaret being taken care of by Emma.

"Here we go, fresh chicken noodle soup." Emma said, placing the tray on her roommate's lap. "Made at Granny's of course, I just put it in a bowl." She added with a sheepish grin.

"Thank you Emma." Mary Margaret sniffled as she pushed herself up on the bed. "This is very kind of you. You really didn't have to take the day off to take care of me. I would have managed. I mean I know Graham won't be too bothered but I don't want to give Regina any chance to tell you off or suspend you or anything." Emma laughed light-heartedly.

"I can deal with that witch if needed, don't worry about it. Besides, since you still refuse to let me pay rent I had to find some way of paying you back for all your kindness." Emma pointed out.

"I've already told you, there's no need for you to pay any rent. I'm quite happy with our arrangements of you paying for half the grocery shopping and utilities and driving me to school in the morning."

"Alright, alright." Emma chuckled. "I'm just saying it's nice to have a way to pay you back. Now eat your soup before it gets cold." Mary Margaret rolled her eyes

"yes mother."
