Mad

A guest asked for a oneshot of the Author knocking Emma out with the curtain rail. Her parents panic and Emma realises that whatever they do it's to protect her and she forgives them.

Percabeth991fan: I'm afraid I won't go back on my word, but I will write you a compromise of the same people seeing a video of Emma as a teen?

FictionLover12: Remember, I only accept 1 request at a time and then ask for a gap. I already have your request for Emma going to Bae's grave on my list :).

"We have a lot of question." Emma said quietly, eyes still red with tears. The Author laughed slightly.

"I bet you do." He responded kindly. Emma felt her heart lift slightly. She could finally find out the whole truth. But then her hopes were dashed when the man reached behind him quickly and pulled the curtain rail down and fled from the room. As the rail fell it crashed hard against Emma's head. The last thing Emma heard was her parents calling out her name before she blacked out.

When Emma woke up again she was lying on the bed August had been on with a cold cloth against her forehead and something extra cold against the side of her head (which was throbbing painfully). She winced as she reached up and pulled off the extra cold item which appeared to be a bag of frozen peas.

"Don't take that off, we want to keep the lump as small as possible." Emma heard someone say as the bag of peas was slipped from her hands and placed back against her head. Emma realised that it was her mother who had been talking to her- and she also realised that she was still furious with both her parents.

"Listen, we know you're mad Em but we need you to talk to us to let us know you're ok." Charming said from Emma's other side. Emma stubbornly didn't answer causing her dad to sigh. "Fine, stay silent, hospital it is then…"

"I'm fine." Emma snapped quickly. "My head's a little sore but that's to be expected having some metal bar dropped on it. Where's the Author?"

"Killian and August both chased after him, they're still away so they might still be on his trail. We didn't want to leave, not with you having passed out." Snow told her.

"Were you worried I'd have my evil senses knocked into me and wake up ready to kill?" Emma asked bitterly.

"No Emma of course not." Charming said, kneeling down beside the bed. "We stayed because we were worried about you. We were both scared it would turn out to be more serious than passing out for a few minutes…although don't think that means we're not taking this seriously. There will be monitoring going on for days to make sure you're ok. I don't care how mad you are at us we're still your parents and we will still be watching out for you."

"You have every right to be mad Em, we know that." Snow said softly. "But please don't let that anger affect your health here. If you feel sick you need to tell us so we can get you to the hospital. We won't even come into the room if you really don't want us to. We'll wait outside." Snow promised. Emma felt some of her anger at her parents melt away. She knows that they always have her best interests at heart- even if they go about it the completely wrong way.

"Honest, I'm fine." She said. Both her parents could tell that some of the harshness had come out of her voice, but neither pushed. This was still a very hurtful situation for Emma and they understood that. Only time would be able to fix this.
