Someone to care
asked for a oneshot of Snowing going to look for Emma post 4x17 when she doesn't come home. They find her sleeping in Hook's arms on the JR and are just happy she is being cared for.
The pair had been searching for hours. Emma hadn't come home since she'd chased after the Author. After about an hour Snow, Charming, August and Hook all went out to search for her. The couple had so far had no message from either August or Hook to say Emma had been found so they were still searching the beach.
"What if the villains have got her Charming?" Snow said, beyond beginning to panic now. "What if they're hurting her?"
"Snow it's alright, nobody's hurting Emma." He promised his wife, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her closer. He wasn't feeling all that confident either, but he had to be strong for Snow. He looked up and down the shoreline and saw the Jolly Roger floating by the dock. It was then that Charming noticed the flickering of candlelight by the window of the Captain's quarters. Somebody was inside that ship, and Hook was the only one with the key to the Captain's quarters. Charming nudged Snow and pointed up to the window.
"Has he seriously gone to sleep whilst Emma's somewhere alone and emotional?" Charming hissed furiously. Snow was furious as well, they were relying on the Captain to help. The couple stormed up the ship and Snow pulled a safety pin out of her pocket.
"Some bandit traits are useful to hang onto." She whispered as she uncurled the pin and placed it in the lock. She moved it around until she heard it click and then she slowly opened the door. Both were ready to give Hook a rude awakening…when they saw he was not alone sleeping on the bed. Emma was asleep beside him. Both were lying still fully clothed, not even under the covers. Emma was lying wrapped securely in Hook's arms. He'd obviously been comforting her and they'd just fallen asleep.
"Do we wake them up?" Snow whispered. Charming shook his head. Both could see from the candlelight the redness in Emma's eyes. She'd been crying- and they were probably the cause.
"No, it will just put her back up. We need to let her come to us. It's clear Hook has no ill intentions with Emma tonight, she's safe and happy here with him. I know it hurts right now that Emma's upset and we can't comfort her. But we can take some comfort ourselves that we know she isn't alone- she has Hook. As long as she has someone who she feels safe with right now that's the main thing." Snow nodded beside him, understanding that he was right. Both wanted Emma to be able to forgive them, but understood that would only happen in time. Right now at least she wasn't alone. They tiptoed back out of the room and back to their apartment (making sure to let August know Emma was safe).
