Emma in the middle- part 2

Lots of people have asked for a sequel to "Emma in the middle".

Charming carried Emma up from the carriage to his and Snow's room when they got home. By this point she had already thrown up over both herself and each parent.

"I'm going to go get cleaned up in Neal's bathroom." Charming said as he deposited Emma on the bed. "I'll knock before I come back in." With that he left the room.

"Alright then," Snow said as she pulled out a couple of nightgowns. "You should be able to fit into one of mine just about. Let's get you to the washroom and clean you up first…"

"I've got it." Emma said coldly getting to her shaky feet. "I can handle it alone thanks." She said, trying to take the gown from her mom but Snow wouldn't let her. Snow's heart broke into tiny shards. Was their relationship this broken?

"No Emma, you're still drunk and you're not steady on your feet. I'm helping you-"

"You're not seeing me naked." Emma said sternly. "I'm entitled to privacy." Snow couldn't believe that bothered Emma. She helped Marali into gowns all the time…but never Emma. Snow just wanted to burst into tears. She'd been so thoughtless.

"Well it never seemed to bother you when you were little." Snow pointed out. "You never wanted any clothes on. My little free spirit…"

"If I agree to let you help will you stop reminiscing?" Emma snapped. Snow gave her "the look". She wouldn't put up with cheek.

"Deal, now come on."

Emma made it clear she still felt awkward about this, but Snow ignored her. She helped Emma clean herself up- before cleaning herself up- and both getting into the nightgowns.

"Emma you're not going back to your bed." Snow said, steadying herself for a battle. "I'm worried you'll choke on your vomit, you're staying with us."

"Like you've ever cared before. I've been ill and in my own bed lots of times. Why should this be any different?" Emma said bitterly.

"Emma I've always cared about you- both your father and I have. You're our daughter and we love you just as much as Marali and Neal." Snow said sadly.

"Could have fooled me." Emma grumbled. Snow again chose to ignore her, instead helping her back to the room where Charming was waiting.

"Ah, I see the bedtime arrangements have gone down better than expected?" He said, noting that he hadn't heard screaming coming from the other end of the corridor. Emma just shot him a furious look before Snow guided her to the bed. Emma was at one side with Charming at the other and Snow in the middle. Charming had brought a bucket and placed it beside Emma- along with a glass of water. She'd need that in the morning. After Charming blew out the candle Snow wrapped an arm around Emma's middle.

"Never doubt that we love you." She whispered. Emma didn't answer- she did doubt. She doubted heavily.
