Not so big
alemigui asked for a oneshot of a teen Emma in the Enchanted Forest rebelling against her parents.
"Fine." Snow snapped eventually. "You want to go out to the forest alone, go ahead!"
"What? Snow!-" Charming tried to protest, but Snow raised a hand to signal that the matter wasn't up for discussion. Emma gave a smug little smile before leaving the room.
"Snow she can't go out into that forest alone, it's crawling with Regina's men." Charming whispered frantically. "I know she keeps pushing our buttons and is just trying to act more grown up but I think this is taking it too far."
"It would be if she were really going alone." Snow said calmly. "We're following her. Give it five minutes and then we'll follow behind. We don't do anything unless she gets into trouble, agreed?" Charming sighed, still not fully on board with the idea.
"Fine, agreed." He reluctantly said before beginning five of the slowest minutes of his life.
Later
Emma cowered back until her back hit a tree as she stared up at the cold bloodthirsty eyes of one of Regina's men.
"Well little princess, looks like this game of hide and seek is up. You're coming back with us now- I'm sure the Queen will love to see you…" But the guard wasn't even able to get his hand around Emma's arm before an arrow was lodged into his forearm.
"Touch her and you die." Snow snarled. Charming stood beside her with his sword raised ready for a fight. There were only three of Regina's men and they knew even though they outnumbered the royal pair they were highly skilled. Regina's knight pulled the arrow from his arm before the three men retreated through the woods. Snow and Charming then approached their shaking daughter.
"Now you see?" Snow said calmly. She knew it was harsh but she had to get the lesson in before Emma forgot how scared she felt. "Now you see why we won't allow you in here alone? We know you're growing up Emma, but Regina's knights fight dirty and their biggest way of fighting dirty is to get to you to hurt us." Snow explained. Charming took off his jacket and wrapped it around Emma before holding her close.
"It's just not something we're willing to risk sweetheart." He said softly. Emma didn't say anything, but she knew they were right. She never wanted to feel this scared again. Although she would never admit it aloud, she was glad they had been following her.
