Youthful experience

A guest asked for a oneshot of Henry comforting Emma after she finds out her parents' secret.

Emma looked up as she felt the couch sag beside her. She was glad she looked up before yelling at whichever of her parents had come to talk to her- because it wasn't her mom or dad- it was Henry.

"Hey kid." She sighed, trying to perk up a little for him.

"Hey." He said, and Emma could tell he knew. He opened his mouth, but Emma bet him to it.

"Please don't try and defend them." She said quickly. "I know you love them a lot- I do to but right now I am really mad at your grandparents kid and I don't want to hear any excuses."

"I wasn't going to make excuses for them," Henry said calmly "I was going to let you know that you'll feel better about this soon. I know it doesn't feel like it now, but you will forgive them." Emma raised an eyebrow at her son- that she hadn't been expecting. "It's what happened with me and you after you lied to me about who my dad was." Emma looked away, she still felt awful guilty about that. "It's alright. Like I said, I forgave you ages ago. I know that you did it to protect me. Like your mom and dad did for you with Maleficent's baby…"

"I thought you weren't going to make excuses for them?" Emma pointed out. Henry just shrugged.

"It's not an excuse. Just a point." He said before getting off the couch and walking away to leave Emma with her thoughts.
