One night stands

A guest asked for a oneshot of Snow bringing up one night stands. Emma gets embarrassed and admits she'd only ever been with Neal and even that took a while because of trauma.

"I swear your father's never going to be able to look at Whale without wanting to kill him." Snow sighed. "I say he doesn't have to come to Neal's check-ups if it's too much for him but he insists." Snow ranted to her daughter. Emma just laughed.

"Well I can understand where he's coming from. The man did sleep with his wife…"

"We were cursed!" Snow shouted, only just noticing the way Emma was biting her lip to stop herself from laughing. "Oh haha you're hilarious. Such a daddy's girl." Snow grumbled. Emma's eyes narrowed.

"I am not a daddy's girl or a mama's girl." Emma told her. Snow rolled her eyes.

"Yeah sure, whatever you say. Just hope your daddy doesn't ever bump into anyone you had a fling with. If you think he's protective of me you've got another thing coming." Snow teased her. She noticed the way Emma's gaze dropped. "Emma, don't look so worried. None of your ex's can come to town. Well, except Neal but that was something else. Can't imagine you met many other people from the Enchanted Forest."

"Neal's the only man I've ever been with." She said quietly. Snow's eyes widened. She had never realised. "I met him when I was seventeen, got pregnant and went to jail. Men were never really a priority after that. Even with Neal it took a few months before…you know…after my childhood that level of trust was hard." Emma explained. Snow took a seat opposite her.

"Wow, Emma I never knew. I mean don't get me wrong I'm delighted that you kept your virtue so well as your mother but I'm sorry it was hard to trust anyone. It should never have been like that for you. It's not like I can talk, aside from Whale I've only ever been with your father. Not that I'll ever mention this discussion with him but he'd be pretty happy to know that too. You've got no idea Em, you're his princess. Even now just dating Hook is hard for him. He may never have known you as a child but he still sees you as that tiny baby he held once." Snow said, a soft smile on her lips. Emma rolled her eyes and got up, having enough emotion for one day.

"Yeah well, anyway…I'm going to go…do something." She mumbled, leaving the room. Snow smiled after her, Heaven help the man that hurt her.
