Chapter 4

-Freighter; Space above Jakku-

Rey looked over at BB-8 for a moment before looking at Cecilia. She knew there were a lot of secrets that Cecilia had from her past, but Rey could tell that Cecilia was getting memories of some kind by being on the ship they had stolen… The dark haired girl swallowed thickly after a long moment. "Finn told me he was with the Resistance. We have to get the droid back to them." She watched as Cecilia looked at Finn as if she was studying him for some kind of tell.

"BB-8 told me. He also told me the location of the Resistance base. However, there are a few modifications that have been done to this ship that we need to fix so the First Order doesn't find us before going to the Resistance." Lia went wide eyed as she heard a loud pop followed by some kind of pressure being released. "Rey, Finn, go look that over. I think it might be the motivator based on the sound of things. I need to have a conversation with BB-8."

Rey nodded and grabbed Finn's hand dragging him over to the motivator to try and fix it.

Lia looked down at BB-8 as she put her as she put her cloak back on. "The Ileenum system? Why there of all places?" she asked exasperatedly. "Which planet in that system could possibly be useful for that?" She listened as BB-8 beeped making her go wide eyed. "D'Qar? What the hell is my mother thinking?" she groaned softly rubbing her eyes while closing them. However, her eyes snapped open as the power suddenly went out. Someone or something had snuck up on them. Lia began to rapidly check each control to try and gain control of the ship back. A loud curse in Huttese left her lips as she realized it was useless. She looked at Rey and Finn as they rushed back into the cockpit. "Someone or something has a lock on us and completely overrode the systems. I can't gain back control. I need you two to hide alright. Don't touch anything." She pointed at them and rushed them out of the cockpit and back to where Rey was fixing the motivator. Lia made sure the pair and BB-8 were hidden under the grate as Lia moved to a hidden area where she could shoot from if necessary.

The blonde woman inhaled slowly closing her eyes as she hid her Force Signature. If this was the First Order, she would happily give her life protecting BB-8 so he could get back to Poe. If these were pirates or smugglers, then she would use the charm she inherited from her father to talk her way out of the situation. Cecilia listened as the ship was placed on the floor of the larger freighter that had taken them before her eyes snapped open in shock. She let her arm slip down in disbelief as she realized who had taken them. Lia swallowed thickly as she felt her throat close up. She hadn't seen the man on the larger freighter in 6 years. The young woman blinked jumping as she heard the door open and two sets of foot steps one obviously heavier than the other. She held back tears as she heard his voice ring out in the ship.

"Chewie, we're home," the male voice said in slight awe. He looked back at the other being who accompanied him…a Wookiee who towered over his person. The man nodded and went one way on the ship to look for the people who had flown it; however, he was quickly brought by Chewie to a grate where he found two adults with a BB Unit while wearing gas masks. "Where are the others? Where is the pilot?" he demanded from the two while pointing his blaster at them.

Rey went wide eyed as she and Finn held their hands up. She swallowed hoping the Lia was trying to find a way to get out of here. "I'm the pilot," she said on instinct to protect her friend.

The white haired man rose an eyebrow as he watched the young woman. "You?" he asked scoffing slightly. There was no way they were alone. He could feel a third set of eyes on him. He turned hearing something behind him and froze as his chest tightened. Standing before him was a blonde young woman…one he had not seen since she was 15. His blaster slowly came down as he vaguely heard Chewie cry out in shock and happiness. He inhaled trying to figure out what to say to the young woman before him, but she beat him to it.

"I don't appreciate you pointing a blaster at my friends…Dad," Cecilia said while putting her own blaster in its holster. She gave a cry of happiness and slight pain as the Wookiee came over and picked her up while practically squeezing the life out of her. "Good to see you too, Chewie," she called out, her voice raspy due to lack of air. She held onto her honorary uncle as he put her down. Lia looked at Rey, Finn, and BB-8 and motioned for them to get out of the small area they were in. Her hazel eyes met the dark ones of her father causing her to swallow as nervousness grew in her.

"Cecilia?" the white haired man asked softly as the two other humans got out of the hidden area. He stepped closer to her until he could place a hand on her cheek. She had changed. Her hair was longer. Her eyes didn't hold the same brightness as they used to. She seemed to be battle hardened in a way he had never hoped for either of his children. "Oh, my little, Lia," he whispered.

"I'm not so little anymore," Lia said in response using the very same charm and charisma that her father had causing him and Chewie to chuckle.

The white haired man pulled his hand away from Cecilia's face and frowned for a moment. "Where did you get this ship?" he asked as the ship had been stolen from him years ago.

"Jakku," Cecilia answered. She giggled at the sour look that crossed his face.

"That junkyard?!" he exclaimed in shock.

Finn snorted slightly and smirked in Rey's direction. "See, told you. It's a junkyard," he quipped making Rey pout and glare at him.

The man looked at his Wookiee companion. "I told you we should have double checked the Western Reaches!" He looked at his daughter, "Who had it? Ducain?" he inquired quickly.

"We stole it from Unkar Plutt. He stole it from the Irving Boys, who stole it from Ducain," Rey answered.

Cecilia gave a nervous laugh. "Well…um…actually…Ducain stole it from you, Dad. I stole it from Ducain. The Irving Boys then stole it from me, and Unkar Plutt stole it from them. Lastly, we stole it from Unkar Plutt," she corrected her friend who looked ready to lose her eyes from how big they got.

The man shrugged. "Either way, you tell Ducain that Han Solo has just stolen back the Millennium Falcon for good!" he exclaimed before smiling at his daughter.

Cecilia smiled softly as she watched her two friends go wide eyed in realization.

Rey gasped softly as the gears in her mind began turning. "No way! This is THE Millennium Falcon?! You're Han Solo?!" she exclaimed in shock.

Han sighed heavily shaking his head more so to himself. "I used to be," he said frowning.

Finn furrowed his brow slightly at the name. "Wait, Han Solo? As in the Rebellion General?" he asked slowly.

Rey gave Finn a frown as she furrowed her brow in confusion. "What? No, he's a smuggler," she corrected him.

Cecilia hummed softly. "He was both," she said quickly before they began bantering. She bit her lip lightly as Rey looked back at her.

Rey looked at Cecilia before she went wide eyed as she made the connection between what Cecilia called Han. "Wait…you called him Dad, and he's Han Solo…then that means-"

Cecilia gave a small yet charismatic smirk. "I'm sorry for not properly introducing myself to either of you." She gave Rey and Finn a small two finger salute. "Cecilia Solo, daughter of Han Solo and Leia Organa," she introduced herself to Finn and Rey as BB-8 beeped and rolled around her.

Rey brightened further. "This is the ship that made the Kessel Run in fourteen parsecs!" she exclaimed happily, but her smile fell at the offended look Cecilia gained on her face.

"Twelve!" Cecilia and Han corrected the young woman.

Han smiled faintly as he watched Cecilia. For a moment, he didn't see Cecilia…instead he saw himself when he was much younger. She had always had the best qualities of both Leia and himself. While Cecilia was talking with the other two, he went to the cockpit to relish in the memories before going wide eyed as he saw something that hadn't been there. "What the hell?! Who the hell installed a compressor?!" he exclaimed angrily while coming back towards the group.

Cecilia sighed heavily and closed her eyes. "Unkar," she said softly.

Rey nodded in agreement. "Cecilia and I thought it was a mistake. It puts too much-"

"-stress on the hyperdrive," Han, Cecilia, and Rey all said together.

He shook his head before looking at Chewie. "Ok, get them on a pod and send them to the nearest inhabited planet," he told the Wookiee.

Cecilia went wide eyed as her head snapped towards her father. "What?"

Rey quickly followed after Han as he walked away towards the entrance of the Falcon. "We need your help!" she exclaimed frowning.

Han rose an eyebrow as he turned back to face the three young adults. "My help?" he asked confused.

Rey motioned to BB-8. "This droid has to be returned to the Resistance base as soon as possible."

"He's carrying the map," Cecilia said with a tone that made Han freeze. "Dad, he has the other piece." Her voice gained an emotion that made Han's heart clench in his chest. "Maybe we can get him back if we find Uncle Luke."

Finn saw how Han froze while Lia was speaking. "You are the Han Solo that fought for the Rebellion. You knew Luke Skywalker."

Han finally faced the others with a torn expression on his face. "Yeah, I knew him. I knew Luke," he murmured. Han went wide eyed as he glanced at Chewie when a loud metallic sound rang through the corridor. "Shit. Don't tell me a Ranthar's gotten loose," he muttered to himself rushing out of the Falcon.

"RANTHARS?!" Finn and Lia exclaimed together horribly concerned suddenly. The group quickly rushed after Han as he rushed through the cargo bay of their large freighter. "I swear to the stars, Dad. Do not tell me you are smuggling Ranthars?!"

"Alright. I won't tell you," Han answered as he looked at the monitor that had cameras and cursed again seeing what was happening. "Oh great. It's the Guavian Death Gang. They must have tracked us from Nantoon," he commented distressed.

Rey looked at everyone completely confused as she and BB-8 followed everyone. "What is a ranthar?" she asked lightly.

Han gave a look as he tried to downplay what they were as Rey seemed far more innocent. "They're big and dangerous," he said leading the group down a long hallway.

"You ever hear of the Trillia Massacre?" Finna asked Rey.

"No," Rey answered.

"Yes," Cecilia said at the same time.

"Good," Finn told Rey ignoring Cecilia's answer.

Han hummed for a moment. "I got three of them going to King Prana."

Lia gave a strangled cry. "How did you get three on board?!"

"I used to have a bigger crew," Han answered making both Finn and Rey look green and queasy. He quickly opened a grate and motioned to the three young adults. "Alright. Get below deck. Stay there until I tell you. Do not even think of taking the Falcon," he said sternly.

Rey frowned at him while glancing at Finn. "What about BB-8?" she asked.

Han looked down at the droid. "He stays with me…until I can get rid of the gang. Then, you can have him back and be on your way."

Rey frowned slightly. "Wait, the Ranthars. Where are you keeping them?" she asked. Rey gave a shout of fright as a ranther suddenly slammed against the glass of the cargo room it was locked in.

"There's one," Han quipped smirking slightly.

Lia swallowed letting Rey and Finn get below deck. She gave her father a look that said, "No matter what you say, I am staying with you." It was a look Leia had often given Han throughout their years together. "I'm staying."

"I can't stop you, can I?" he murmured.

"Nope. I'm too much like Mom. Plus, I am one hell of a shot. You and Mom made sure of that," Lia answered her father while moving her cloak to show her two blasters and two sabers.

Rey looked up at the trio. "What are you going to do?" she asked furrowing her brow. She was nervous for her friend as well as her friend's father.

"Same thing I always do…talk my way out of it," Han answered to which both Chewie and Cecilia gave Han a look.

Chewie shook his head slightly. "Yes, I do. Every time," the Wookiee said while Lia nodded in confirmation.

Han rolled his eyes before focusing on the door of where the gang was boarding their ship nervous as hell.

"This is where the fun begins," Lia quipped with a smirk.
