Fever spell
Jade Star asked for a oneshot of Maleficent casting a fever spell over Storybrooke and Snow looking after Charming, Henry, Emma and Regina in the family loft.
"Do you have any idea how long this is going to last?" Snow asked Doc on the phone as she replaced the sleeping Regina's cold cloth on her forehead (Regina wouldn't let anyone help much whilst she was awake). "…no, I understand. I know you're no magic expert and are looking after your brothers. Thank you Doc." Snow hung up and sighed. She was just going to ride this one out. She felt like she hadn't sat down in two days- since the spell had been cast. Snow didn't know why she hadn't been infected, but she was very grateful. Someone had to look after the sick and baby Neal. She was constantly moving up and down the stairs and buzzing around the different rooms. Regina and Henry were in Snow and Charming's bed. Emma was on the couch so she could be near Henry too and Charming was up in Emma's bed. Now that everyone's cold cloths were replaced and Neal was napping Snow started on lunch.
"Mom?" Snow called weakly from the couch. Snow sighed and turned off the stove before going over.
"What is it sweetie? What do you need?"
"I think you put this in warm water…sorry." Emma said sheepishly. Snow frowned, she definitely hadn't. She took the (definitely cold) cloth off of Emma's forehead and placed the thermometer that was in Snow's pocket in Emma's mouth. Emma frowned at the reading it gave out.
"You've gone up again. I'm going to get you an ice pack instead." Snow said, now worrying. She quickly got the ice from the freezer and wrapped it in a tea towel before putting it on Emma's forehead. "That a little better?" Emma nodded weakly. "Hold on there honey. We'll sort this…"
"Snow?" Snow heard her husband call from upstairs. Snow stroked Emma's cheek and got another ice pack ready. She figured that's what he'd be after. When she got up there and checked his temperature she was right.
"Here," Snow said soothingly "this should help." Charming showed instant relief as the coldness hit him.
"Thanks honey." He said, pulling Snow's hand over and kissing it. "You're the best wife ever, you know that?" Snow smiled, reaching down and kissing his cheek.
"Only because I have the best husband ever. I'm going to put some soup on so try not to fall asleep." She told him before checking Neal in his crib- still asleep. She then left the room. Snow quickly checked over Regina and Henry as she past but they were both out for the count. She couldn't help but smile at how adorable they looked with Regina's arm over Henry. Snow was totally run off her feet, but she had no choice, her family needed her. She just hoped nobody got really sick- the hospital was full enough as it was and half the nurses were sick too. Until things got better Snow would hold the fort here.
