Dodgy date

A guest asked for a oneshot of a double date between Snowing and Abigail and Frederick.

"More wine?" Snow asked the other couple. Each nodded eagerly and held their glasses to Snow who filled them up along with hers and Charming's. They'd decided getting together with the other couple might be a good way to clear the air after what happened. It wasn't- it was just plain awkward. Charming of course noticed the way Frederick barely let go of Abigail- he always had some form of contact with her. He figured he was uneasy as they'd kind of been married during the curse. He kind of understood, he was like that around Whale with Snow.

"So…how's work at the station David?" Abigail asked in a feeble attempt to break the tension.

"Um yeah it's good, quite quiet right now. Emma and I are mainly catching up on paperwork. Not a lot of time for it whilst chasing round villains." Charming said with an awkward laugh which Snow joined in with to try and make him feel less awkward. "How's work as the P.E. teacher Frederick?"

"Yeah, it's alright. Been a lot of absences with parents reconnecting with their kids or some in a lot of therapy with Jiminy just now- but I'm sure your wife can tell you all about that." Charming nodded, now unsure where to go with the conversation.

"You guys have a kid, how's he doing?" Frederick asked.

"Two kids." Snow and Charming both said on instinct. Abigail and Frederick looked confused.

"We don't like people forgetting Emma just because she's not a child anymore." Snow explained.

"Oh, sorry…" Abigail said quietly, if possible Snow and Charming correcting the couple had made things even more awkward.

"Although speaking of our kids we'd better be leaving soon- don't want to leave Emma looking after Neal too long. Waiter?" Snow called him over motioning that she wanted the cheque to pay the bill. Abigail and Frederick thought it strange- Emma was an adult and they'd only been gone a couple of hours. But neither questioned it, they wanted out of this too. Safe to say from now on they'd stick to the odd nod hello when they saw each other…
