An honourable princess
percabeth asked for a oneshot of Emma being bullied by a group of girls but refusing to fight back. No matter what Rosie and Neal say she refuses to fight back. Rosie and Neal run back to get their parents and when they all return they see Emma getting knocked to the ground.
Neal moved forward to defend his big sister but Emma grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and yanked him back.
"Leave them." Emma hissed.
"Well you might be willing to let them talk to you like that Emma but I'm not!" Neal yelled, outraged. Georgia and her group of nobleman's daughters began to giggle.
"What are you going to do, little prince? Didn't your parents ever teach you that boys can't hit girls? (AN I don't actually agree with this- I believe gender doesn't matter when it comes to violence. However, it seems like the kind of thing a bully would say!) Or are you just too stupid to remember?" Neal saw red and again went to floor Georgia but Emma once again pulled him back.
"They're not work it." Emma snarled. "Come on, let's go home…"
"Oh you're not going anywhere Princess Perfect." Georgia sneered as some of her friends went to circle around Emma, Neal and Rosie. Emma quickly shoved Neal and Rosie out of the way so they didn't get hurt.
"Emma, fight back!" Rosie pleaded, beginning to cry, she was terrified.
"Just get her out of here Neal." Emma told her brother. "I'll deal with them. Go." Emma refused to fight back as her parents had always taught her to hold herself with the highest level of dignity. These little snoots weren't worth Emma losing her parents' pride in her. Georgia swaggered up to Emma and harshly prodded her shoulder.
"Come on then, Princess Perfect, just going to let me hit you?"
Meanwhile…
Neal pulled Rosie by the hand all the way to the castle and all round it till they found their parents. Both rattled through the story so quickly neither of their parents understood a thing.
"Woh, slow down." Charming said. "Something about Emma and other girls in the forest. What's going on? Slowly." Charming reminded them. Neal took a deep breath.
"Emma is being picked on by a group of girls in the forest." He said simply. Charming and Snow wasted no time. They each took a child's hand and sprinted out with them to find Emma.
By the time they arrived at the spot Emma was she was being shoved between the girls as they laughed wickedly. Just as they approached Georgia gave Emma a particularly hard shove and Emma landed in the middle of the circle on her bottom.
"That is enough!" Charming bellowed. The girls all gasped and looked at the family. Each showing clear rage. Without another word all the girls scattered.
"You haven't got away with this- you will be punished!" Charming warned after them. Snow gently helped Emma to her feet. Emma hastily wiped a tear from her cheek.
"I didn't fight back." Emma croaked. "I didn't lower myself to their level. Like Grandma Eva and Grandma Ruth would have wanted." Emma said, looking desperately at her parents for their approval. Snow and Charming's hearts broke. She let these girls do this because she thought defending herself would make her a bad princess? Snow pulled Emma into her arms.
"Your grandmas will always be proud of you baby, but don't ever think it's not ok to defend yourself against bullies. Don't let them hurt you, ok?" Emma nodded against her mom's chest as Charming rubbed soft circles on her back.
"I say you've earned yourself a nice cup of hot cocoa. Come on kids," Charming reached out to Neal and Rosie, wrapping an arm around each of them. "Let's go home."
