Getting over him
lucie11 asked for a oneshot of Emma comforting MM in season 1 after David chose Kathryn over her.
I can feel the "You hate Charming" bashing coming already so save your breath folks, I don't hate Charming. Remember this is set in season 1 after the whole cheating fiasco.
Emma winced at the sound of the place being slammed just a little too harshly into the sink. Poor plate wasn't what broke up with her! Emma decided it might be best if she finished the dishes, or else they may end up with nothing by ceramic shards.
"Here, let me…"
"I'm fine." Mary Margaret snapped back. Emma took her hands away from the dish towel.
"If you're sure." Mary Margaret got on with washing her glass leaving Emma standing there awkwardly.
"Don't let him make you feel like this." Emma offered her advice. "He doesn't deserve to have this much power over your emotions. That's like letting him win, Mary Margaret. Instead show him what he's missing by choosing that bossy cow instead of you. Don't get mad, don't even get even, get over it. That is the best way to make him see what an idiot he's being. Just don't take him back. Don't let him ever think its ok to use you as a backup when he's bored of Kathryn. You are so much better than that. You are so much better than him." Mary Margaret gave her roommate a watery smile. Right now she wasn't sure if she wanted to cry or have a full scale temper tantrum. But she couldn't do either so it didn't really matter. What did matter was that she was not alone in this. She had the support of her wonderful roommate and best friend. She would get over David Nolan if it was the last thing she did…no matter how inevitable he seemed to her.
