Seizure

A guest asked for a oneshot of Emma having a seizure.

It all happened so quickly. One minute the little family was in the community centre setting up for Henry's birthday party, the next Emma was lying writhing on the floor. Both parents immediately recognised it as a seizure. They quickly cleared the area around her and made sure she wasn't going to choke. All they could do then was wait.

"You're going to be ok honey." Charming said. "We're right here." It was horrible for the parents to sit and watch as their daughter's eyes rolled into the back of her head and she flailed around uncontrollably. It only lasted a minute or so, but it was the hardest minute of their life.

After another couple of minutes, Emma's eyes opened. Charming reached behind her shoulders and helped Emma to sit up.

"What happened?" Emma asked groggily.

"You had a seizure Emma." Snow explained. "Has this ever happened before? You're not epileptic are you?" Snow asked. Emma shook her head.

"No, but Regina warned me this might happen as I began to use magic."

"What?!" Both parents asked.

"You knew this might happen and didn't tell us? Emma what were you thinking? Something serious could have happened. Emma you've been driving!" Charming realised, feeling horrified. Emma rolled her eyes, this was exactly why she didn't tell them.

"Relax guys, it's like one of the one in a million side effects on the back of a medication box. I'm sure it won't happen again…"

"Oh like we're taking that chance." Snow scoffed. "You're no longer allowed to drive. No ladders and nothing with flashing lights just in case. The slightest feeling you might take another seizure and you drop to the floor. Is that understood?"

"Fine, fine." Emma grumbled. She went to get up and found both her parents supporting her. Emma rolled her eyes. This wasn't going to end quickly.
