Cranky

A guest asked for a oneshot of Snow making a cranky adult Emma take a nap in a calm, soothing way.

Since she had gotten up Emma had been snapping away at every tiny thing. One night looking after her little brother and she crumbled. It was now very clear that even her fake memories of having a baby weren't strong now. She just wasn't used to the disturbed sleep. She had seen that her parents were drooping from looking after Neal day in, day out and offered to let them stay at Granny's for the night and she would watch him. Now here she was just after eleven am and already her crankiness was driving Snow insane. The last straw for Snow was when she started moaning that the hot chocolate Snow had made her wasn't "cinnamon-y" enough. It had the same amount of cinnamon as it always did! Emma badly needed a nap. But Snow knew she couldn't outright tell Emma this- she would have a fit. She had to be subtle. She knew exactly what to do. Now that Neal was contently napping himself Snow grabbed some things out of the bathroom and came back to the living room. She switched off the TV and instead started to play a CD of classical music. She then went to Emma (still pyjama clad) on the couch. She took Emma's bare feet and turned Emma round so her feet were in Snow's lap.

"What are you doing?" Emma asked, alarmed. She wasn't a fan of people touching her feet.

"Thanking you for taking care of Neal last night with a nice foot massage." Snow half-lied. She then squirted some of the lotion onto her hands and began to rub it into Emma's feet. Shrugging- not having the energy to argue- Emma settled back against the couch and closed her eyes, enjoying the massage.

Snow had only just begun the second foot when she heard Emma's breath getting heavier and deeper. She quickly finished and grabbed the duvet from her bed, draping it over Emma. Seeing that her daughter was safely asleep and so unable to complain about acts of affection Snow softly kissed her cheek.

"Sleep well princess." She whispered. And now that both her babies were peacefully asleep, Snow set about to do all the non-noise making chores.
