Forgiveness
xzanderB asked for a oneshot of Red telling Emma to forgive her parents instead of Hook.
"I thought I'd find you here." Red said softly. Emma started a little, not expecting anyone to be there. "You always come to the sea when you need to think, it's like you're drawn to it…and I have wolf smell." Red explained as she sat down beside Emma.
"Look Red I don't need a lecture…"
"Well it's just as well I'm not here to give one." Red butted in quickly. "Emma, I know that things haven't been easy for you recently. You might be an adult but I still take my role as your godmother very seriously. Emma, your mom and dad, they love you very much." Emma rolled her eyes.
"Here we go." She grumbled.
"I know that they made you angry, but this isn't the right way to deal with the situation. You waited a long time to have your parents in your life. Are you willing to lose them again just to get back at them? I've known your parents a long time, Emma. They've done a lot of good in both the Enchanted Forest and here. I know they made a massive mistake with Maleficent's child but they have more than made up for it in good deeds and paid the price by losing you. Did you ever stop and think why they didn't tell you? That maybe they were disgusted enough with themselves? Ever since the curse broke all they've wanted is to be the good parents you deserve Emma. All they've ever done is try and protect you Emma. Before you were born they wanted to make sure you were safe and now they wanted to make sure you were proud of your parents. Do you want for all their efforts, all the emotions you've all shared, to have been for nothing? Just think about it Em." With that, Red got up and left Emma at the peer to think everything through.
