Love you wings and all
emmalove asked for a oneshot of Emma having angel wings like Angel from "X-Men" and showing her parents.
"Please say something." Emma begged, her back still to her parents. They had been silent for over a minute now, and Emma's heart had sunk. They did think that she was a freak. Ever since Emma had gotten her magic two years ago when the curse broke new powers had sprouted up here and there when Emma least expected it. Last September Emma had begun to notice something happening on her back. It had taken a couple of months for Emma to be able to confirm it- she was growing wings. She had tried desperately to hide them ever since. She'd even tricked various ways of getting them off- hacking, cutting, plucking every single feather- but nothing worked. They just regrew overnight. Now here she stood, finally having to show her parents the things that confirmed she was a freak. Some sort of mutant. They would disown her for sure, but Emma could hide them no longer. Maybe at best they would find a way to help her discretely remove the freakish things and never mention them again in shame.
"Emma, they're beautiful." Charming said, admiring the eagle-like wings stretching out from his daughter's shoulder blades.
"Yes. They're so…graceful." Snow agreed with her husband. "Can you…can you actually fly?" She asked.
"Um yeah." Emma admitted. This was not the way she'd seen this conversation going at all.
"That must be so breath taking." Snow said in awe. Emma turned around.
"Wait…so you guys don't think that I'm a freak?" She asked. Snow and Charming shook their heads.
"No, far from it. Emma, you look quite frankly awesome." Charming told his daughter. "Who else can say their kid can soar the skies? Emma, we are proud of every single part of you." Charming told her, squeezing his daughter's shoulder. Emma felt a wave of relief wash over her. She should have realised they wouldn't be disgusted or scared. They were her parents, they loved her no matter what.
