Friends don't quit
SkylarG asked for a oneshot of Red hiding from Snow as she said some horrible things to her during the curse of shattered sight.
"You're a coward, Snow White! You never fight your own battles. You've always had someone else to do it for you. You're still a spoiled little princess inside who can't cope unless she's getting her own way. Then the one battle you had to fight yourself- keeping your daughter safe- and you couldn't do it. It's your fault and yours alone that Emma grew up alone…"
"There you are!" Snow said, sounding exasperated. "Red I've been looking all over for you. I asked Granny, Belle, Whale, everyone I could think of, but nobody knew where you were. I eventually figured if I got lost myself in the forest I'd end up finding you. Turns out I was right. I haven't seen you since Ingrid's curse was broken. Have you been avoiding me?" Red couldn't even look at her best friend. Yes, she had been avoiding Snow. What she had said to her was unforgivable."
"I said disgusting things." Red said quietly. "I am ashamed of what I said…" Snow took her oldest friend's hand.
"It was a curse." She gently reminded Red. "Nobody is holding anyone to what was said under it. If we were Charming and I would probably be filing for divorce right about now. Red- you are my best friend. Do you really think that some stupid things said whilst cursed are going to change that?" Red stayed silent. "No Red, they're not." Snow pulled Red into a hug. "But if it'll make you feel better- I forgive you." Snow said. And it did make Red feel better. She had thought she'd lost her best friend- and knowing she hadn't made her more relieved than she could ever say.
