Twice the trouble
Charminglovvvah asked for a oneshot of Emma having twins instead of just Henry and they both show up at her apartment.
Guest with the father thing I'm afraid it's still been too closely covered!
sassieSara Hail: Gap rule please: Please leave a gap (around 3-5 lots of oneshots) between requests :)
EmmaLove sorry, but that's kind of already been done too!
"Another banner year." Emma whispered sadly to herself as she gave a small puff of air to blow out the lonely candle on her little birthday cupcake. Just as she did, there was a knock at her apartment door.
"What in the world…" Emma grumbled to herself, who was knocking on her door unexpectedly at this time in the evening? Grouchily, Emma opened the door. She was irritated when she first looked out, as there appeared to be nobody there. Just as she thought it was some punk kids pranking her, she looked down and saw two identical little boys. "Uh…can I help you?" Emma asked. She really wasn't in the mood for scouts trying to palm cookies off on her. What kind of parents let their kids wander alone around an apartment block at this time?
"Are you Emma Swan?" One of them asked.
"Yeah…" Emma said, confused. "Who are you?"
"My name's Henry." The boy who asked who she was said.
"And I'm Daniel." The other piped up.
"We're your sons." They said together. Emma felt like all the air had been knocked out of her. She just stood there, frozen. As she did the two boys slipped under her arm and into the apartment. Emma suddenly snapped back to reality.
"Woh, hey, kids! Kids! I don't have sons! Where are your parents?" Emma shouted after them, heart pounding in her chest.
"Ten years ago, did you give up twin boys for adoption?" Henry asked. Emma stayed silent, she couldn't deny that.
"That was us." Daniel added, taking her silence as a yes. Emma didn't know where her head was at. She felt like she was going to be sick.
"Give me a minute." She said quickly, rushing to the bathroom and slamming the door behind her.
"Hey, do you have any juice?" Daniel called after her. But then Henry nudged him, pointing inside the fridge to a carton of orange juice. "Never mind, found some!" Emma came out of the bathroom, she did not want those kids clawing through her kitchen.
"You know, we should probably get going." Henry said to her.
"Going where?" Emma croaked. Had she missed something? What was going on here?!
"We want you to come home with us." Henry explained. Right, that was the last straw for Emma. These kids needed grounded or something.
"Okay, I'm calling the cops." Emma said, picking up her phone.
"And we'll tell them you kidnapped us." Daniel said calmly. Emma counted to ten internally, these kids were good.
"And they'll believe you because I'm your birth mom." She said through gritted teeth.
"Yep." Emma looked at the two of them. Surely they wouldn't come all this way to find her just to have her thrown in jail? No, she would call their bluff.
"You're not gonna do that." Emma tried. There wasn't a flicker of fear in either of their eyes. They'd clearly collaborated on a story together.
"Try us." They said together. It freaked Emma out how they did that. But she still didn't believe them. Emma moved closer to them, arms folded across her chest.
"You're both pretty good, but here's the thing. There's not a lot I'm great at in life, but I have one skill. Let's call it a "superpower". I can tell when anyone is lying, and you two, are." Emma could tell from their faces that she'd won. Triumphantly she picked the phone back up.
"Wait." Henry said, admitting defeat. "Please don't call the cops. Please come home with us." Emma would humour the pair and go home- but just to drop them off with their parents.
"Where's home?" Emma asked, grabbing her car keys.
"Storybrooke, Maine." Daniel grumbled. Emma's eyebrow raised, really?
"Storybrooke? Seriously?" She asked. Both the twins nodded. Emma could tell this time they weren't lying. "Alrighty, then. Let's get you both back to Storybrooke."
