Emma's new brother
A guest asked for a oneshot of the Charming family visiting the Southern Isles. Emma and Hans become good friends and after finding out how badly he is treated by his family Emma convinces her parents to adopt him.
"We came here to try and mend relations between Misthaven and the Southern Isles." Charming sighed, his face in his hands. "It's hardly going to help repair relations if we accuse the royal couple of mistreating their youngest son and demand that he come home with us."
"They won't mind if I leave." Seven year old Hans said shyly. "It's not like they don't have an heir already. One time my uncle Johan threatened my parents with taking me away. They had my suitcase packed within the hour." Snow's heart broke at how hurt the little boy sounded. She looked at her husband and the pair had one of their silent conversations. How could they refuse the little boy a home when they had so much space in their castle to give?
"Alright." Charming told the children. Both gave great whoops of joy. "But do not say a word to anyone until we've sorted it with your parents, Hans. We understand that it isn't in your best interest to stay in the Southern Isles anymore but it won't help if they here whispers from other people." Hans mimed zipping up his lips before he and Emma exchanged a high five.
A week later and Hans could hardly contain his excitement as he was on the boat to Misthaven with Emma and her parents. Emma took his hand as they waved goodbye to Hans' old life.
"Welcome to the family, brother."
