Two worlds
Jumpship asked for a oneshot of Emma being locked in the tower in Isaac's AU because she is so vicious even evil Snow is scared of her. She doesn't know Henry when he finds her. When they are all back to normal Snow tells Emma she's glad she's not evil.
Emma knew when everything was returned back to normal that in ways they'd gone back a step as a family. Her parents- and even Henry- were anxious around her. They tried to pretend they weren't, act normal, let her hold Neal, but Emma knew they still thought of her as the monster Snow had locked in the tower. The nutjob so unpredictable even the Evil Queen was frightened of her and decided to lock her away and chain her up so she was a threat to nobody. Especially Snow. Then Henry, poor Henry. He heard about this villain locked away from Regina and thought it was rumours. Thought when he got their Emma would be grateful to see him and help him and Killian on their quest. But no, there were no rumours or lies. When he got there both he and Killian narrowly escaped with their lives. Everything was true- the Emma in Isaac's world was venomous. She just wished they remembered that the Emma in this world wasn't.
Emma sat alone in the booth at Granny's as the town celebrated yet another victory for the heroes. She looked up when someone slid in opposite her.
"Hey." Emma greeted her mom weakly. Snow smiled back at her.
"Hey." She replied. An awkward silence lingered between the pair. It was hard to move past Isaac's world- it was like the elephant in the room. But Snow had to try, they had to get their relationship back on track.
"It's good to remember who you really are." She said gently, taking Emma's hand. "To remember that you are not only a hero- but the lightest light there is in this world." Emma smiled back.
"That a mooshy way of saying you're happy I'm not a bonkers villain who's ready to rip your head right of your shoulders?" Emma asked. Snow rolled her eyes playfully.
"Not exactly, but close enough." She replied.
"Well, I'm glad you're not the Evil Queen ready to keep me locked up in a tower." Emma retorted, gaining a laugh from Snow.
"Fair enough. Now come on, let's mingle." Snow said, taking Emma's hand and pulling her up. Who they both were in Isaac's world didn't matter, it was who they were in reality that mattered from now on.
