Midnight movie
Tuttutcheerio asked for a oneshot of Emma taking Neal to the movies late at night. They come home in the early hours of the morning to find Snow in tears thinking they had been kidnapped and Red comforting her. When she sees them she's furious. I've made the age gap slightly smaller again so that Emma is 19 and Neal is 15.
"I just don't know where they are Red!" Snow wailed as her best friend rubbed soothing circles on her back. "Charming's been out there for nearly two hours looking for them both and he's not said anything, that means he hasn't found them! It's four in the morning, what if George has got them? Or someone else who's got it in for our family?"
"Snow I'm sure they're fine, try not to jump to conclusions. Even if someone like George does have them, Charming will kick his ass for taking the kids-" Red stopped when she heard the front door slowly open. Both she and Snow turned in the direction of the door.
"Shh! Be quiet with that door Neal! We don't want mom and dad to know we snuck out…"
"Well it's too late for that!" Snow bellowed from the living room. Silence. Both Emma and Neal stood frozen solid in the hall, busted. "Both of you get your sorry backsides into this living room right this very second. Do not dare keep me waiting if you know what's good for you!" Both teens gulped before shuffling into the room. They passed Red as they came into the living room. She gave them both a very disapproving look.
"Not cool guys." She said. She looked back to Snow who was sending a text to Charming to let him know they were home safe. "I'll get going now we know they're safe Snow. See you around." Red then left the house to head home for some sleep. Snow looked up at her children who felt about as tall as mice under her glare.
"Where-have-you-been?!" Snow yelled at them. The pair stayed silent, feeling that if they told her she'd just get madder. "WELL?!" Snow shrieked.
"At the movies." Neal blurted out. "Emma snuck me out to see Insidious 3 because I nagged her so much about it." Snow couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"Do you have any idea how worried your father and I have been? I come up to your rooms at midnight to check you're both ok and I find empty beds? We thought you'd been kidnapped! Your father is out there right now because he was searching for you both and I found out you were at the movies? You ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Up to your rooms now the pair of you and do not come out until I tell you to. And believe me, that might take a few days. Now!" Without another word the pair turned and fled up the stairs.
"I knew I shouldn't have came home from college for the summer." Emma grumbled when they were safely upstairs. "Well, night then." She added, as they both entered their own bedrooms. They were both rather glad they were banned from going downstairs- they felt safer in their rooms than downstairs with either parent right now!
