Mommy's little boy

Brit asked for a oneshot of Neal not wanting a little sibling and Snow talking to him.

"I don't want a stupid baby!" The five year old screamed at the top of his voice. Snow tried to reach out and comfort him but he shoved her away. "No!" He yelled, his face red from all the crying.

"Neal, calm down and listen to momma." Snow said calmly.

"I don't wanna calm down! I don't wanna baby! I don't want momma!" Neal finished each sentence with a stamp of his fist off the floor. Having enough of his tantrum, Snow took Neal's arms firmly before pulling him into a hug. He tried to shove her away, but Snow wouldn't let him. She waited until he calmed down.

"I know this is a shock to you, honey." She said, rubbing soft circles on his back. "And I'm sorry, but this is going to happen whether you want it to or not, we can't change that. We wouldn't change it for Emma or for you and we aren't going to for this baby either. We didn't Emma any less when you were born and we won't love either of you any less when this baby arrives. I promise."

"But what if you and daddy are wrong?" Neal whimpered. "What if you do love this baby more than me and Emma? What if you forget about me?" Snow's heart broke for her little boy.

"Honey, daddy and I will never forget about you, and we won't be wrong. You're my special little guy, ok?"

"Alright." Neal said, eyelids beginning to droop. The crying had worn him out. Sensing that he could use a nap, Snow began to rock him gently from side to side. It didn't take long before he was asleep in her arms. She softly kissed the side of his head.

"Always." She whispered softly against his head.
