Mother/daughter time
Codi asked for a oneshot of Emma trying to get Snow to watch a movie with her. Snow puts it off because she's busy. Finally she does and is surprised to find Emma being super clingy and cuddly because she's missed hanging out with his mom.
"Finally!" Emma said, flopping down on the couch and putting the sleeves of her snuggie through her arms as her mom placed the DVD of The Breakfast Club in the machine. Snow rolled her eyes.
"You only asked if we could watch a movie together about a fortnight ago, you're acting like I've been putting this off for months." Snow teased. "But I am sorry it took so long, life's just been busy." Snow apologised sincerely.
"That's alright." Snow said gently. Then, slowly, she scooted over on the couch until she was right beside Snow. Emma then rested her head against Snow's shoulder. Snow smiled, slightly amused, looking down at her daughter.
"To what do I owe this pleasure?" Snow asked Emma. Emma felt her cheeks heat up with embarrassment. What she being too cuddly? She wasn't Neal's age anymore, nowhere near, but that didn't mean she didn't need some physical comfort from her mom from time to time. She didn't move her head, just shrugged.
"I've just missed you is all." Emma admitted. "It's been ages since we spent any time together, least it feels that way." Snow's heart melted, as it always did whenever Emma let her walls drop far enough to share her emotions. She stroked her thumb along Emma's cheek.
"I've missed you too." She told her. "But it's ok, I'm here now. Nothing is going to interrupt us spending this time together, I promise. I've unplugged the house phone and both our mobiles are switched off upstairs. I've even unplugged the doorbell as an extra precaution."
"Ah, very organised." Emma lightly teased, snuggling further against her mom's shoulder. It was during moments like this that both felt the most normal in their relationship. Like they had never been separated at all.
