The best part
Emerald-Laufeydottir asked for a oneshot of an AU of Emma in High School and having a crush on Killian Jones. I've basically ripped off the scene from The Simpsons Movie where Lisa tells Marge about her crush Colin :P
"Oh wait, I still didn't tell you the best part: he's really good at fencing." Emma said excitedly as she sat on the stairs telling her mom all about the new boy, Killian, at her school. He was in her homeroom class and actually spoke to her! They'd really hit it off... and Emma really liked him. Snow listened attentively as she washed the dishes. "Oh, wait! I still didn't tell you the best part! He's got a gorgeous English accent. No no no wait, wait! I still didn't tell you the best part! He actually spoke to me!" Emma eventually finished, bouncing around the kitchen in excitement. Snow was really happy for her daughter, she was just growing up so fast.
"Aw honey that's great." Snow said, finishing the last dish and coming over and giving her daughter a hug. "But the very best thing a boy can do is listen to you, because nothing means more than for a man to pay you his complete attention, that's when you know you've got him." Snow said with a small wink. Emma looked nervous.
"So…you think he might like me back then?" She asked hopefully. Snow tucked some loose hair behind Emma's ear.
"I can't answer that for sure having never seen the two of you together, but I can say that he'd be crazy not to." Emma rolled her eyes.
"Way to ruin it with cheese mom. Besides, you have to say that, you're my mom." Emma complained. Snow chuckled and kissed her daughter's cheek.
"Yes as you're mom I have a certain bias. However, I am right." She insisted. "Now go and wash up for dinner." Emma skipped off happily, and Snow felt giddy watching her go. Not such a baby girl anymore.
