"It's not a date pop."

"You sure about that?" He smirked.

"Yes, I'm sure. Besides, it's just….a small outing. Yup! A small outing. Totally not date." Tukson rolled his eyes.

"Yet here you are, sweating bullets, tieing that tie for the 5th damn time, and chewing on gum for the past hour. Shit kid, if I didn't know any better, your nervous about this." I rolled my eyes.

"Ok, so maybe I am. She is only the most beautiful girl I've seen in a while, her eyes are so damn captivating, and plus, she has a nice-"

"Finish that sentence and I will tell her you keep staring at her chest. For Oums sake, I thought you stopped being a pervert."

"I AM NOT A PERVERT!" He rubbed his aching ears.

"Stop shouting, we're in-doors." I shrugged and turned back to the mirror.

"I was going to say nice personality." He rolled his eyes.

"Sure you were." Chuckling, I looked back at the mirror that Tukson placed in the living room.

I am so not ready for this. I thought as I continued fiddling around with this damn tie. Once I got done with my shift at the bar, I ran my ass all the way back to the bookstore and told Tukson what happened between me and sapphire.

Needless to say, the endless teasing about this date started when I finished that sentence and it continued until now. Seriously, It's just a date. Nothing crazy, right?

"Kid, it's a date. Stop being stubborn about it. Plus, your clothes are a bit over the top for a small, casual date. Don't ya think?" Looking down, I couldn't help but agree with him. Black trousers with a white button up shirt, black oxfords and a red tie.

"…. first impressions?" He rolled his eyes and got up from the couch.

"If it's casual, you're already making a somewhat bad impression. While first impressions are important, she's more than likely gonna think you go over the top constantly. That, or you're coming on a bit too strong, and you might scare her off. Either way, good try, but let's leave the formalities for another day. Do you even know where your gonna take her?" He folded his arms as he looked at me.

I Shrugged. "Nah, I was gonna wing it." He deadpanned.

"You… were gonna "wing it" on your first date with this girl?" I shrunk at his gaze and shuffled my feet.

"Yeah…." He rubbed his eyes to sooth a coming headache.

"This is why I hate teenagers." He muttered before motioning me to take seat on the couch as he went back to his room.

Sitting down, I began tapping my right foot nervously. I had NO idea where to take Sapphire. Like, I'm not that great when it comes to the female population and I'm not that great when it comes to talking to a girl either.

Christ, WHY do I keep doing things I'm not accustomed to do? I stopped taping my foot and looked up at the ceiling.

Maybe a movie? Before I can finish that thought, Tukson came back and threw me some clothes.

"Good thing about the training you're getting is that you're getting bulkier, and you got taller since you first came here, so some of my old clothes should fit you. This is something you take to a casual date. Try them on." I groaned but listened as I made my way to the bathroom to change.

"Hurry up now, girls don't like it when you're late." He called from the living room.

"Aye pops, you're really getting a big kick out of this are you?"

"You have no idea kiddo." I can FEEL his shit eating grin through the door but didn't say a word until I stepped out. He whistled.

"Now you look sharp." Looking in the mirror, I broke into the biggest grin in my life. He was right!

Dark blue button up denim shirt with Black jeans, and a black and blue plaid checkered sweater. He also tossed me some black boots to match.

"Before you head out, let me impart on you some old man advice." He tossed me a small bottle.

"Woman like it when you smell good." Nodding in agreement, I did what my father taught me. Spray the cologne on my wrists and spread it all around my neck.

'If a lady leans in for a kiss or a hug, she's going to enjoy the fact that the cologne is all above the shoulders. They'll like you even more for that.' He once said. I chuckled at the memory before tossing the bottle back at Tukson, who caught it and placed it on the living room table. He leaned against the wall and crossed his arms.

"Sapphire is a difficult girl kid with a difficult upbringing. She opened up to you about herself, and what happened to her family. Try not to bring it up too much, and since she wanted the truth about you, tell her. Better the truth than a lie, although she will look at you like a weird ass alien. Also, a movie and then food after doesn't hurt as a first date." He scratched the back of his neck.

"Try to also keep the conversation going but know when to just listen. Woman like a guy who listens to more than half of their ramblings, and don't be a broken record. Biggest turn off ever to a woman is a guy who constantly is repeating the same old shit." I nodded as he led me to the door of the store.

"Also, you might wanna keep these on standby." I blushed as he pulled out condoms from his back pocket and handed them to me.

"Come on pop, it's not gonna come to that."

"Better be prepared then regret it later. Last thing I need is a mini you running around here, it's bad for business." Glaring at him while still blushing, I took another look at the condoms before grabbing them and shoving them deep inside my coat pocket.

"There, anything else?" I asked as I stepped out of the door.

"Don't fuck it up." He sent a reassuring smile before slamming the door shut. I sighed before turning around and started walking up the street.

Since I don't have a scroll, it was agreed upon that we meet outside out Juniors at 4 O'clock in the afternoon then head out for our date. Shuddering, I kept walking.

Don't screw this up Alex.

(Sapphire P.O.V)

" It's not a date gem."

"You're sure? It's sounds like a date, Ain't that right Jade?"

"Yup, I'm with gem. It's a date."

'You guys are the worst.' I thought as I finished putting on lip stick and proceeded to stick some gum in my mouth to chew.

Looking myself over, I nodded in approval. Blue skinny jeans with a cherry red blouse. A black bead necklace, and leather laced up boots. I even put my hair into a ponytail, knowing that Alex would drool at the sight of me.

"Yeah, totally not a date, and here you are dolled up for a guy we've been training for the better part of a year now. Why'd you agree to this again?"

"I want to know more about him. He keeps things close to the chest and rarely speaks to us about anything about his past. When we ask Tukson, he doesn't tell us either. How are we supposed to trust him and bring him in on any of our missions if we don't know anything about him?"

"True, but we agreed only small missions. Like getting rid of White Fang weapon drops and supply drops. In this year alone, Alex is almost up to our level. Since we started training him Last year, he excelled in almost everything. But we gotta start training him more in our ways. Sapphire, you know what ways I'm talking about."

I held my breathe. "You want to start training him like us? An assassin?" He shrugged as Jade leaned against the wall, quietly observing the conversation.

"Kids gotta learn what it's like to take a life. That's how we're trained and who we are. Killers." He sighed as he crossed his arms and learned against the door.

"I don't think he has the stomach to kill, to be quite honest with you. He has too pure of a soul to be tainted by taking a life. If anything, the guilt of his first kill will stay with him forever. When the final decision is made by us to fully rope him in, he needs to be ready that."

"No." He raised an eyebrow as I turned around. "I don't want him to be a killer. You're right, his soul is too good for this. Maybe there is another way." They both stared at her grimly.

"Saph, there is no other way. For progress to be made, unfortunately, blood needs to be spilled. Both Guilty and innocent."

My cheeks heated up, and I blinked my eyes rapidly to get rid of the tears forming up in my eyes.

"I want him to be better than us, and for that to happen, he can't turn into a killer." I felt his glared bore into my soul.

"Then what the fuck are we training him for Sapphire?!" I flinched as he raised his voice at me.

"Sapphire, Adam swore the next time he saw us, he would send an entire brigade of White Fang soldiers after us. We were his best soldiers, his assassins. Do you think for even a second, he was bluffing?" Before I could retort, we heard Jade growl.

"Gem. Outside. Now." Gem growled before leaving, slamming my door on his way out. Glaring at the door, Jade sighed before sitting down on the bed and patting the spot next to him.

I sat down as he sighed. "You know, he isn't wrong. Alex is getting the best training around. But he needs to be brought into what we do fully. We can't protect him from the horrors outside that door forever. He needs that."

"But he's too good of a person. I'm worried that if he is put in that position, he'll shut down in every sense of the word." He hummed in agreement.

"True, But I have a feeling he's a lot stronger than he's letting off. If anything, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. But for now," He stood up taking my hand and I followed suite. He smiled at me. "Just look at you. A beautiful, young woman who came a long way from the stray runt we found. Just stop worrying about the future and enjoy the present. It makes life more enjoyable like that." I nodded as he led me to the door and put his hand on my shoulder.

"Go enjoy your date. Just don't come back pregnant, ok?" My face flashed red so fast that made him double over in laughter.

"S-shut up! I'm not going to sleep with him. GOD, WHY DO YOU GUYS DO THIS?"

"WE DO IT BECAUSE WE CAN. NOW, GIT" Jade yelled as I left outside the house in a hurry, my cheeks still flushed with heat.

For Oums Sake, I'm not some horny teenager running around sleeping with everyone she sees. I HAVE STANDARDS DAMMIT.

I didn't realize that my teeth were grinding hard as fuck and my fist were shaking uncontrollably until I saw my reflection in a puddle.

You know what, fuck it. I'm going to enjoy my date. I'm even more interested in finding out what Alex is going to tell me today.

(Alex P.O.V)

"Melanie, for the last time, I'm not here for you. I'm meeting with someone else." I growled as the Harlot angrily stomped off.

Even after being completely terrified yesterday by sapphire, she STILL tried to make a pass at me just now. Like lady, I know your horny but damn, LEAVE ME ALONE.

I shook my head. Fuck it, tomorrow I'm just gonna let Junior know to have his niece lay off. At this point, it's getting on my last nerve.

Taking one more piece of gum out of my pocket, I popped it in and chewed vigorously. Gotta cool off before Sapphire gets here. The last thing I need is to be heated and say the wrong thing. I prefer not to get my ass kicked in front of a crowd of people, thank you very much.

I huffed as I shoved my hand deep into my pockets as I leaned against the building, watching the cars and people go by. Looking up at the sky, I sighed deeply, taking in the fresh air to calm my nerves.

Patting and brushing myself one more time, I noticed a slight bulge in one of the inner pockets of the jacket. Reaching in, my eyes went wide when I pulled out this shiny, little trinket.

A Vintage gold platted pocket watch, looking brand new as ever. The wheels of the clock still spinning and ticking in a methodical rhythm.

"Holy shit…when did Tukson ever have the time to buy this?" Flipping it around, the watch bore no scratches and looked very well maintained. Flipping it around some more, I clicked on a small button on the side of it and the watch opened into two sides.

On one side was the clock itself but on the other side, there was a picture of a Faunus family. A young man with a young woman and a little baby cradled in her arms. Looking closer at it, they looked happy and smiling proudly in the picture.

"Wait, isn't that-"

"Hey Pervert!" I yelped and jumped up from the loud shout!

"COME ON SAPPHIRE, FOR THE LAST TIME I-" The words were lost in my throat when I turned and saw the brown beauty.

Damn, she is so fine. Was the first thought that entered my mind when I saw her. Black eye mascara with red lipstick, which brought out her facial features and her gold eyes. A cherry red blouse with blue skinny jeans and black boots. I took a moment to notice her black beaded necklace.

No bra, nice.

SLAP!

NO, NO.

DAMNIT ALEX, GET IT TOGETHER.

"Uh Alex, you ok?" She looked at me with worry.

"I'm ok, sorry just thought a mosquito got on my face." She giggled as I smiled sheepishly.

"Y-you look great Sapphire." She stopped giggling and her face flush red.

"Y-you don't look bad yourself Alex. I like your sweater."

"Uh, thanks. Got it from Tukson, he's been helping me with my lack of fashion lately." She nodded and began walking around me, just like the day we first met.

"Date outfit 100% Approved, Although, where did you get that fancy pocket watch?" I blinked and realized that the pocket watch never left my hand.

"I think this belongs to Tukson, I found it in one of the pockets inside the Jacket." Handing her the watch, she gave it a look over. She opened the locket and looked at the picture in confusion.

"I'm not too sure who the girl or kid is, but that young man is definitely Tukson. The eyes never lie." Looking over her shoulder and ignoring the sweet flower aroma of her perfume, I looked again and came to the same conclusion. This was Tukson in the picture.

"You think this is his family?" She shrugged before placing her hands on her hips.

"Don't know but you'll find out later. Right now, you owe me a date." Blushing and nodding, I tucked the pocket watch away before staring back at her.

"Uh…"

"…."

"….."

"….You were gonna wing it, weren't you?"

God.

Damnit.

"….No…" She groaned before grabbing my arm and linking it with mine.

"Well, I need some more clothes and since you mentioned your taste of fashion is lacking, lets go shopping." Before I could even say anything, she took lead by linking her arm with mine and we started walking down the street.

"I know a good shop around the corner, and you get to be the lucky guy to carry my clothes and maybe, just maybe, rate some clothes that I'm wearing." I gulped and chuckled nervously as we continued down the road.

This is turning interesting rather quickly!

"So, Alex what do you think?" She said as she stepped out the changing room wearing a dark blue Cardigan sweater, underneath that was a silk white shirt that only covered her chest and a portion of her stomach. She also sported dark blue skinny jeans and white tennis shoes.

I blushed looking at her exposed stomach and waist. "Outfit number 6 approved. You look stunning." Not noticing her face getting extremely warm, she smiled and went back to change.

"How many outfits we're going through? We've been here for a while now."

"We are going to KEEP going until you and I find some good outfits. Ladies first of course." Rolling my eyes with a grin on my face, I sighed and leaned back.

Once we linked arms, she led me 5 blocks down the road of the bar to a clothing shop called Vales Clothing (How original), and literally sat me down as she ran around the store picking out clothes before running into the changing room to try them on.

"You still owe me the truth Pervert. Don't keep a lady in suspense." She called from the changing room as she continued changing into something else.

The truth. I mulled those two words in my head as I looked up at the ceiling. How was she going to take it? Was she going to run? Scream that I'm an alien out to suck her blood or something.

Nah, she'll definitely try to cut my head off.

Yup, it's the latter.

"Are you sure your up for it? It's kinda…..out of this world." I said as I got up and stood in front of the curtain, not daring to move it.

"Try me, it can't be that bad, can it? What, are you some kind of serial killer hiding from the cops or something?" I laughed as she said that.

"Totally, and I'm just waiting to find more victims!" We laughed, drawing the attention of the shoppers nearby but they didn't bother us.

Suddenly, a hand shot out and yanked me in by my collar. She pinned me against the wall, now change into form fitting red leather pants and a red bra that looked dangerously close to dropping off.

"Alex, how can we trust you if you hide the truth from us?" Her grip was strong, and my airway was closing by the second.

"ACK- I never said I wouldn't tell you. Yo- ACK- W-Wouldn't believe me if I told you is all. Tukson even had a hard time believing me!" She let go slightly, letting me breathe.

"Look, it's a lot to take in is all. I just don't want you cleaving my head off is all." She still kept her hold on me.

Don't look down at her boobs man. FOCUS

"L-look, before I tell you, can you please wait for me to finish before you pass any sort of judgement?" She nodded and motioned for me to continue.

"I was never born on Remnant. I was born on a planet called Earth, born to parents and siblings. I enjoyed the life of a regular person, had hopes and dreams, had fun. But, al that was cut short when I ratted out some school bullies and well….they killed me." I paused to se if there was any emotion on her face. She looked….stoic, if that's the word. Calm expression, but her eyes are yearning for more information.

"When I died, I was awaken in front of an Angel named Tex and he revived me here on this planet. That's the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth."

Ah, I miss Law and Order SVU.

"Y-you're joking right?' She chuckled nervously but the chuckling halted when she saw me shake my head.

"I'm not joking. Call Tukson if you don't believe me. I told you it's a lot to take in, but I am telling you the truth."

"B-but that's not possible. Even if there is a sliver of a chance, why here? Why now?" I shrugged my shoulders.

"I didn't ask, and Tex never told me. I just know he gave me another chance at life, and I'm going to make the most of it. I'm glad I'm being trained by you guys; I probably wouldn't be able to fight anyone without you." Her cheeks flushed a deep red, and she looked down trying to hide her face.

"But that still doesn't make any sense. You must be lying, there just isn't enough proof out there about reincarnation and other shit about it." I sighed, she's right. Damn, how do I get her to believe me?

Screw it.

Before she could say anything else, I grab her hand and placed it on my chest, where my heart was. She was taken aback by the sudden motion and her cheeks flushed once more.

"Feel my heart rate. I'm not lying to you and I never will lie to you. Everything I have told you is the truth, whether you believe it or not. I just want us to enjoy this date, and we can put this behind us." I stared back at her, her eyes boring into mine like she was trying to look into my soul. I felt her hands being taken off my chest and neck as she took two steps back.

"You're really not lying…" I smiled at her. "No, I'm not. I'm happy to answer any more questions you have but first, how about we enjoy the rest of this date, hmm?"

Before she could have had the opportunity to speak, the curtain flung open.

"FOR OUMS SAKE, NO SEX IN THE STORE!" We jumped in fright, and I immediately threw my jacket at her, which she caught to cover herself with.

"IT'S NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!"

After apologizing to the owner and store clerk about the awkward position they caught us in, we were lucky to pay for the items that Sapphire wore and left the store in a hurry. Of course, she made ME have to carry them because "Ladies don't carry the bags, the gentlemen do." Whatever, shame we didn't get any items for me but I'm not that upset about it. To be Frank, I'm happy with what I have but if the time comes when I must buy more clothes, I'll make a note to come back here.

They DID have some pretty nice suit options for men in my size, but I'll cross that bridge if I ever need a suit.

"So, where to now?" She asked as we made our way down the street.

"Know any good places to grab a bite to eat?" She smiled and linked her arm with mine as she led me down the street. While we were heading to our destination, she started asking me more things about Earth. What we did for fun, what kind of laws there were.

What was interesting is when she asked if there were any Faunus on earth, and if there was any sort of discrimination there. I said while there were no faunus on earth, there was still discrimination of all forms there, unfortunately.

She looked saddened by that, but I managed to bring a smile back on her face when I told her people on earth managed to cut a huge dent into discrimination of race, sex, etc by making national headlines and not giving up. People were starting to come together, and while it was a step forward in the right direction, we still have a long way to go.

She started to ask more about me, where I came from and Who my family was. I happily answered any and all questions she had. When we made it to the restaurant, we sat down and kept the conversation going. Even when we ordered food, we were laughing, we were joking. It felt good, really good. It never felt forced, it felt natural. When we finished our meal, I paid for it, and we made our way back to the bar.

"So, I guess I'll see you later?" We stopped right in front of the bar, about to go our separate ways.

"Yup, and I hope there will be a second date in the future where you ACTUALLY plan it?" I groaned and she laughed at my pain.

"I will and – w-wait, you said second date?" She nodded. "It was fun, and even though what you told me about where you came from, I believe you. I trust you." Our faces darken once more in a shade of red.

"Y-yeah totally. I'll do that." She chuckled nervously before leaning in and planting a small kiss on my cheek.

"You smell nice." She whispered in my ear before turning around and leaving with her bags, giving a much bigger sway in her hips that usual.

I stood there in the same spot for a totally of ten seconds.

"BOOYAH!" I shouted and ran all the way back to the shop with a shit eating grin on my face.

Teen titans reference, check.

(Alex P.O.V)

I walked into the shop and ran upstairs to see Tukson reading a book on the couch

"Hey before you clock out, I left dishes in the sink for you to clean." Nodding, I walked over to the coat hanger Tukson out in the living room.

"How was it kiddo?" He asked as I took off my jacket and placed it on a hanger.

"It was nice." He smiled as he looked back down at his book as I made my way to the sink to clean the dishes.

"Sooo….am I going to expect a little you running around soon?"

"OH MY OUM POP SERIOUSLY?" He laughed so hard he fell off the couch. I shook my head and started doing the dishes, joining him in laughter as well.

It was nice.
