We all have our strengths
A guest asked for a oneshot of some Emma/Henry fluff. (I know you had a specific request as well but it confused me a little so I went with something else).
"So your physics teacher told me you're struggling a little." Emma said as she and Henry got back into Emma's old bug. Henry shrugged.
"Aside from Sheldon Cooper and Leonard Hofstadter who is good at physics? It's science mixed with maths." Henry grumbled.
"Rajesh Koothrappali and Barry Kripke?" Emma joked. "But seriously Henry, why didn't you mention that you were struggling? I could have set up a tutor for you or something…"
"What would be the point? When it comes to things like maths and physics I'm just stupid. It's all just numbers swirling around with words like particle and atom." Emma suddenly pulled up to the side of the road.
"Don't you ever say that to me again." She said sternly. "I don't care how narrow the subject matter, don't you ever tell me that you are stupid young man. You are a very bright boy. Henry, all of us struggled at some part of school from time to time. For me it was French, I just couldn't wrap my head around speaking another language. English was hard enough at times. And yeah, I felt like I was stupid because I wasn't great at French, so know what I did? I began to focus on all the things I was good at, like P.E. and history. That's what you've got to start doing too, there are plenty of things you're good at. You're amazing at English, craft and design and drama. Henry, we can't all be good at everything, that doesn't make us stupid. What's important is that you always try your hardest, understand?"
"Yeah." Henry sighed.
"Good." Emma replied, starting the car. "Now, let's go home and celebrate by rotting our teeth with as many Haribo as we can cram down our throats before we puke. Just don't tell your grandma."
