All your bits and pieces
Boredbrad asked for a oneshot of Emma falling in the shower and Snow has to come in and help her. Emma gets embarrassed and Snow teases her about it later.
Tintin: this has been too closely covered.
Guest who asked for Snow and Henry: I need something more specific.
Guest who asked for Henry driving Emma to the hospital: too closely covered.
"Shit." Emma grumbled. Her head was still reeling from her fall. She should have checked that the stupid bath mat was stuck on properly before getting in. Henry was always leaving it without the suckers properly attached. Emma tried to get back to her feet, but the sharp, shooting pain in her knee sent her tumbling back down. Emma groaned as she crawled on one leg to the edge of the bath so she could sit up properly. The water from the shower still poured down on top of her. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
"Emma? Are you alright in there? I heard a bang." Emma heard her mother ask.
"Yeah." Emma croaked, despite being monumentally not alright. "I'll be out in a few minutes." Something about her tone left Snow feeling very uneasy.
"Emma could you maybe bang on the door to let me know that you're alright? Don't worry about getting the floor wet, I can mop it up since it's me asking you." Emma rolled her eyes, trust her mom to be so in tune with her. Snow knew fine well that if Emma was hurt she wouldn't be able to get out of the tub and bang on the door. Emma was going to have to admit defeat.
"Oh alright fine." Emma said grumpily. "I've hurt my leg and I can't stand up. You'll need to come in here and help me out. It's not broken or anything, I've just jarred it badly. My towel's on the hook behind the door, bring that over and keep your eyes shut wherever possible." Emma instructed her mom. Snow sighed as she came into the bathroom (feeling pretty smug about insisting they didn't have a lock in case of an emergency like this) and took Emma's towel off the hook, but completely ignored her instructions about keeping her eyes shut. That would just lead to an accident.
"Yes, I forgot when you came out of me you were fully clothed." Snow said, walking over and shutting off the water. Emma made a big deal out of covering herself with her hands.
"Yeah, things have changed a little since I was a newborn!" Emma protested. Snow rolled her eyes again.
"Yes Emma I am aware of the puberty process. It's still nothing I haven't seen before. If I close my eyes one or both of us is going to end up hurt." Snow pointed out. Without waiting for Emma to complain some more Snow hooked under Emma's arms and got her sitting on the edge of the tub. She then gently swung her legs over the other side. "There, that's a start." Snow bent down and began to examine Emma's knee which was already visibly swollen.
"Can this not wait until I'm less exposed?" Emma snapped.
"If you insist, I just wanted to make sure you don't need to go to the hospital. Relax, you're right, just jarred. Can you stand up with my help?" Emma gritted her teeth and nodded. Snow pulled Emma onto her feet and made sure she was balanced before wrapping her towel around her. "Good, well done, now I'll walk you through to your room and get you some clothes out and you can take it from there." Snow started to support Emma as she hobbled from the bathroom. She couldn't resist having a little joke. "You know Em, you should really get that mole seen to." She teased gently. Emma's head whipped around to face her.
"How did you even see that?!" Emma squeaked. Snow bit her lip to stop herself from laughing.
"I didn't see any mole, I was just kidding. But nice to see you sharing." Snow admitted. Emma groaned as her whole face turned red. How her mother managed to embarrass her this much despite Emma no longer being a teenager she would never know.
