Reunited

Jennifer asked for a oneshot of Emma and Henry being reunited after a six week seperation.

Emma sat down at the bench opposite the bus stop. Her parents had insisted she have a blanket around her despite her being fully recovered.

"Are you sure you feel ok?" Charming asked her. "If you're not ready for this it's ok to change your mind now. We can take you home and Henry will never know…"

"I'm fine." Emma croaked. Her voice was still raspy, but other than that she really was fine. "I haven't seen my son in six weeks, and now I'm finally better I just want to spend some time with him. I'm not going home now." Emma said stubbornly. Snow and Charming were still worried, but knew there was no point in arguing with her. The bus pulled up and Emma felt her heartbeat speed up tenfold. She had missed her boy so much.

Henry got off the bus and looked around for either of his grandparents, at least one of them was normally there to greet him and walk him home. That's when he saw her. Emma was sitting on the bench, her parents either side, smiling at her.

"Mom!" He yelled, not caring if the other kids heard him. He ran as fast as his legs could carry him over to his mom.

"Careful, Henry!" Charming said, holding his arm out as he approached. "Your mom's still fragile."

"I am not a vase." Emma complained. She took her arms out of the blanket and held them out to Henry who happily hugged her.

"I missed you." He said. "I was so scared."

"It's alright, I'm back." Emma promised her son. "I'm better, honest. Things are going to go back to normal now. Well, as normal as they ever are around here." Henry laughed and Emma began to relax. All they needed was each other.
