The cool ones
Fangirl99 asked for a oneshot of Neal's favourite movie being Disney's Snow White and the seven dwarfs and him arguing with his parents that Disney's version is cooler. Emma tells them to let it go.
"No!" Neal screamed, pointing at the screen. "She's cooler! She talks to birds!"
"I can talk to birds!" Snow protested. She and Charming now very much regretted letting Neal watch the Disney version of their story. "Come out to the garden with me and I'll show you."
"Sure, maybe you can talk to them, but can you get them to do your housework for you?" Neal asked her.
"I probably could if I wanted to but then a) they'd never come see me again b) it's lazy and c) one smartie of a bluebird would find a way to contact the RSPCA in this world."
"Yeah, sure." Neal said, turning back to the screen. "You're just making excuses because she's cooler." He grumbled. Snow went to fight her corner more, but Snow nudged her in the ribs.
"He's just a kid, of course he thinks cartoons are cooler than real life. Wait until he's a little older, he'll like your version better, I promise." She said gently. Snow still had a face like thunder, but kept her mouth shut.
"And don't even get me started on the Prince." Neal added. "He swings about a sword. I've never seen dad swing about a real sword, just the wooden one." Charming went to reply that he'd go and get his real sword from the attic right now, but Emma nudged him hard in the ribs.
"We agreed he shouldn't know about that until he's old enough to use it properly." She hissed. "Otherwise next thing you know he'll have 'borrowed' it and chopped someone's head off." Charming sighed, knowing she was right.
"Yeah buddy, he's super cool." He grumbled. Emma couldn't help but laugh at how childish her parents were being. So much for her being the daughter.
