Out of the system- part 2

A couple of people have asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch766 "Out of the system" where Mary Margaret finds Emma and takes her home.

Mary Margaret heard rattling coming from the alleyway when she left Granny's that night. At first she thought it was a fox or a racoon so she just went to quickly chase it away, but then she saw a girl. Mary Margaret gasped, causing the girl to jump.

Emma looked around to see if there was any way of escape, but this was a dead end, her shoulders slumped in defeat. It was back to Foster life she went. Mary Margaret's heart broke when she worked out what the girl was doing.

"I've been a teacher here for…well, I can't even remember when I first started so that shows how long, but I don't ever remember seeing you around here. What's your name, sweetheart?" Mary Margaret asked gently.

"Lorna." Emma said quickly, thinking on her feet. "Lorna Nickels." She said, stealing the name from one of the girls in a group home she'd been at. Mary Margaret could tell she was lying, but didn't care at this point. All she cared about was making sure she was safe for the night.

"Ok Lorna, well if you're hungry I've got plenty of food back at my place. We can go there if you'd like? Though I understand if that'd make you feel uncomfortable. If it does I can get you something at Granny's and get you a room there for the night? Just please don't stay out here alone, it's not safe." Emma started to hyperventilate, she couldn't go back.

"Please don't call the cops." She begged. "I'll leave and you'll never have to see me again. Nobody will ever know you were involved. Please, I can't go back to my Foster parents!" Mary Margaret approached the girl and bent down so they were eye level.

"Sweetie, I'm not calling anyone tonight. I just need to make sure you're safe." She told her, and Emma believed her. She got her breathing under control and nodded.

"Then…can I stay at your place?" She asked humbly. Mary Margaret nodded.

"Of course you can. Come on, it's this way." Mary Margaret said, beginning to lead her off. "So…now that you trust me think you can tell me your real name?" She asked. Emma blushed, not realising she'd been caught.

"Nicole Parker?" She tried. Mary Margaret just gave her a look. "Leanne Demarco? Oh alright, Emma Swan." She finally admitted. Mary Margaret smiled at her stubbornness.

"Nice to meet you Emma, I'm Mary Margaret. Welcome to Storybrooke." Emma didn't reply, she just focused on taking everything in. She hoped Miss Watson could get her a home here, maybe even with Mary Margaret. She kinda liked it here.
