Daddy and Emma
A guest asked for a oneshot of Charming going through the wardrobe with Emma and preparing her to break the curse.
Charming felt himself being gently shaken. He blinked his eyes slowly open, and tried to adjust to his surroundings.
"Daddy?" He heard a little voice ask from beside him. He turned over and saw his little six year old standing there.
"Emma?" He asked, voice still laced with sleep. "Honey what are you doing here? It's…three in the morning." Charming said, after checking his alarm clock.
"Couldn't sleep daddy." The little girl whimpered. "I had the nightmare about mommy again."
"Aww baby, come here." Charming said, lifting his little girl into the bed and cradling her beside him. He knew the nightmare she was referring to. "Sweetheart, mommy loves you very much. She's not going to not want you, even if you're all grown up and not a baby anymore, I promise."
"I still want to find her now." Emma whimpered. "While I'm still kinda cute." Charming chuckled.
"Emma, you're not kinda cute. You're the cutest little girl in the world. I know you do baby, but you remember what Rumplestiltskin told mommy and daddy while you were still in mommy's belly: it has to be done on your twenty eighth birthday." He reminded her. "I know that's a long way away, and I miss mommy very much too, but we can do it. When we do find her you're going to be very special to mommy and all our friends. Because mommy and daddy love each other so much you're a very special little girl. You're the product of true love, Emma, and love is the most powerful magic of all. Baby you're going to break Regina's curse and save everyone. But it's ok, because daddy will be right there with you. You won't have to worry about Regina or any other nasty people, daddy won't let them hurt his princess." Charming began to gently sway with Emma in his arms. It hadn't been easy, bringing her up on his own. But he was making it work, for Emma. For Snow. He would not let his family down, and one day, they would be reunited.
