Coma

Raquel asked for a oneshot of Snow waking up from a coma and Charming being the first to see her.

The first thing she was aware of was the steady beeping. The blurry sound of people talking, footsteps getting closer to her.

"Snow?" Came a voice that still sounded hazy to Snow. "Snow, can you hear me?" They sounded desperate, and Snow tried as hard as she could to focus on them. She slowly moved her eyes to focus on the owner of the voice. She smiled when she saw him, she couldn't believe her brain was so hazy that she couldn't recognise her Charming's voice. She smiled at him, and tried to move her hand to cup his face, but found it felt as heavy as lead. "Don't worry." Charming said, seeing the effort she was putting into moving her arm with the only result being her fingers twitching. "You'll get there. You need to take things slowly, as hard as I know that will be for you. Just know that I will be here every single step of the way…I was so scared Snow…I thought I was going to lose you." He bent down and pressed a wet kiss to her forehead.

"Why?" Snow croaked, not understanding what had happened to her. Charming bent down so he and his wife were eye level.

"There was an accident." He told her. We had rented quadbikes and were going through the forest. Something went wrong with your brake, the cord snapped. You were head first into a tree. If you hadn't been wearing a helmet Snow…" Charming couldn't even finish the sentence, but Snow knew how hit ended. Charming took Snow's hand. "But that doesn't matter now. What matters is that you are here, and you will make a full recovery, I'm going to make sure of it." Charming gave his wife a sad smile, knowing this would not be an easy road to travel- but as long as they had each other, they could do it.
