Little monkey

Tippy asked for a oneshot of Emma and Neal losing Rosie and trying to pass a monkey off as their sister.

"We swear this is Rosie!" Emma shouted. "She's just…had an allergic reaction to the sun…"

"Which caused her to turn into a monkey?!" Snow shrieked. "Emma Ruth, Neal Leopold, do you think your father and I are stupid?! This is not your little sister, this is the snake charmer's monkey Boo that you have placed into one of your sister's dresses! Where is Rosie?!"

"We don't know!" Neal said, cracking at the yelling. Emma shot her brother a look, this might have worked! "We were walking through the garden with her behind us, we turned around to tell her to hurry up and she was gone!" Neal started to cry. Both he and Emma were young themselves, only three and four. Charming ran a hand through his hair.

"I'll get all the knights looking for her. She can't have gone for. I don't think she can even have got out the main gate, there's no way the gatekeeper would leave the gate lowered. She must be in the grounds somewhere…"

"Looking for someone?" Came a voice from behind them. All four people turned around to see Red standing with a happy looking Rosie in her arms. Snow and Charming rushed forward, Snow plucking her youngest out of her best friend's hands before both parents smothered her in kisses.

"Thank you so much Red." Snow said gratefully. Red smiled.

"It's nothing, she was just sitting at the front door, looking confused, probably because it was shut. Now I do believe Mr Kukudio is missing a monkey?" Snow and Charming turned back to their other two children who were grinning sheepishly. Red couldn't help but laugh at their obvious attempt to cover up missing their little sister. They clearly didn't think much of her looks!
