Under the bramble bushes
Franny Robinson asked for a oneshot of Neal and Rosie finding Emma kissing a boy behind the bushes and run to tell Charming.
Both Neal and Rosie gasped. They had suspected that Emma was up to something when she skipped desert. It was her favourite, chocolate mousse. Emma never missed chocolate mousse, and today suddenly she was too full? Neal and Rosie rushed through their own desserts and followed after their big sister to find her out in the garden behind the bramble bushes, but she was not alone.
"That's Joel Figueroa, the baker's son!" Rosie whispered. "What's Emma doing with him?"
"Oh I think I might know." Neal groaned, preparing to cover Rosie's eyes. And sure enough Neal was right, both Emma and Joel leaned in and actually kissed. On the lips! Both Rosie and Neal made faces of disgust.
"Eww!" Rosie whispered. "That's gross!"
"Come on," Neal said, pulling Rosie's hand. "We need to go tell dad."
Rosie followed her brother through the castle until they arrived panting at their dad's study.
"What's up kids?" Charming asked them.
"Emma." Neal panted, trying to catch his breath. "Behind the bramble bushes."
"What?" Charming asked, getting up from his desk. "Is she hurt? Did she fall? Did something bite her?" Neal and Rosie shook their heads. "Then what?"
"She's with the baker's son. And they kissed." Neal said, feeling queasy as he remembered the image. Charming grimaced.
"Ah right." He said. "Um, thanks for telling me guys. Why don't you go play in the playroom? I'll go get Emma." Neal and Rosie nodded, feeling better about the whole situation. Charming was hoping he'd have another couple of years before he had to deal with a situation like this. Emma was only twelve. He made his way quickly down to the bramble bushes and found the pair. Thankfully not kissing, just grinning and holding hands. Charming coughed to make his presence known. Emma and Joel jumped and leapt apart. Charming gave them a disapproving look.
"Playing hide and seek are we?" He asked. Emma and Joel stayed silent, mortified. "I think it's time you went home Joel." Charming said. Joel took the hint and quickly scurried off, leaving Emma alone with her dad. "I don't want to know." Charming told her. "Just make sure you aren't found alone with a boy again. Deal?"
"Deal." Emma agreed, getting up. Charming nodded.
"Good, go back inside and play with your brother and sister or something." Charming told her. Emma nodded and headed back into the castle. Charming, meanwhile, was thinking of ways to increase security around Emma.
