Jublife Village,
Galaxy Hall,
Hisui Region,
300 years before the Present,

Professor Laventon was pacing back and forth, simultaneously looking excited, overwhelmed and concerned. The Pokemon watching could also see this becoming anxious by his actions.

Rubbing his head, he put his beanie back on, flustered. "Where are they? Don't tell me they've gotten into trouble already... Oh dear, oh, what a bother."

"Professor, you wanted to see me?" Akari whispered, confused. Tightening her uniform, she could already sense emotions running high. "Is something the matter?"

"Akari! Jolly Good, we have a breakthrough, no a disaster! A rare and utmost dangerous new Pokemon has been spotted, and we have no one to investigate."

"Rare Pokemon? What kind of one?"

"One that no one has documented yet... I already have three reports of our members being attacked by this beast." Professor Laventon mutters, looking over his notes. "Cyllene has refused to send out any more scouts until we know what we're dealing with. That's where you and our other friend come in. We need you to locate this Pokemon, study it, and, if possible, capture the beast for further testing."

Akari glared, rolling her eyes, annoyed. "You can't be serious. I can do this alone, you know."

"I don't doubt you can, Akari, but it's Cyllene's orders. So we don't want to go against her wishes."

"Yeah, yeah. I know... Well, I suppose I should get moving then. Knowing him, he's already out there fighting this rare Pokemon. See you later, Professor."

"Best of luck to you, Akari, and stay safe!"

Stepping outside Galaxy Hall, Akari lowered her head in shame, Pokeball at hand, grumbling to herself. "Why do I have to work with him of all people... Galaxy team's Sixth Star, Y/N."

A Hisuian Zorua burst through the bushes, giving chase to a different coloured shinx. Both Pokemon were tearing through the wildlands with a heated battle igniting. Zorua jumped in the air, spinning on the spot and sending out a strong blast of darkness, a dark pulse, ripping through a tree and crashing it to the ground. Several bug Pokemon fell out, causing a scene with a horde of starly flying away.

The sudden outburst caused Zorua to lose sight of the special shinx gone forever.

"Damn it! I really thought we had that one..." I whispered, crawling out of the bushes with a new useless Pokeball. "Fat chance we'll see that Shinx again..."

Zorua looked up at me, deflated, before sulking. Kneeling next to her, I gave her a warm smile. "Don't look so down, Mimi; there's always next time. We'll find out the secret to why you're a different colour someday."

Zorua was exceptionally pleased, jumping on my shoulder and rubbing against my face. Laughing alongside her, I sighed. "We've been out long enough we sho-." I paused as a dark shadow tore through the Crimson Mirelands; I looked up, being knocked back slightly, and saw a giant Pokemon soaring past. My eyes lit up in awe. "I've never seen that Pokemon before."

Dropping to my knees, I took out my Pokedex and tossed through the pages, trying to see any clue. I stopped, slightly conflicted. "It could have been you..."

"Y/N!" Glancing up, I flinched, seeing Akari running over. "Y/N!"

"What's she doing here... I'm in trouble, aren't I, Mimi?"

Zorua howled in agreement, making me groan. "I finally found you... So what are you doing out here alone, again!?"

Beginning to pay her no attention, I kept looking at where the mysterious Pokemon had vanished.

"Are you even listening to me!?"

"Did you see that Pokemon?"

"Huh? Don't tell me you're on another one of those odd colour hunts, are you?" She echoed. "Look, Cyllene has a mission for us."

"Huh? Oh, ok... Hold that thought, will you." I whisper, running towards the mysterious Pokemon.

"Hey! Where are you going!?"

"Does it matter? Come on; something tells me this is huge!" I shouted, running backwards, taunting Akari; Zorua was doing the same, hopping up and down.

"Wait up!" She screamed, racing after me. "Hey!"

We had lost sight of the Pokemon heading into Eterna Forest. Again, this was really becoming a running gag now. Zorua was up ahead sniffing out any possible leads; I, on the other hand, was flipping through the rough sketches of what this Pokemon might have been. While doing this, Akari finally caught up and was and out of breath. "Hey, hey! Y/N, stop ignoring me."

Turning to her, I held up the Pokedex entry. "Have you ever seen this Pokemon before?"

Paused for a moment, Akari looked puzzled, glossing over the page. "A Salamence? Isn't this the commander's entry when he visited the Hoenn region?"

"Yeah, maybe I'm crazy, but I could have sworn I saw that Pokemon fly by just moments ago. But it looked different."

"Another one of your odd colour Pokemon?" Akari whispered, glancing at Zorua. "You just can't let go of the fact your Zorua is blue and not red..."

"Don't listen to her, Mimi, and that's not what I meant. This Salamence had much larger wings, a red stomach and looked more, well... awesome." I boast, rubbing my nose. Slamming the book shut, I kept looking around. "And I'm going to find it."

I soon began going through my different Pokemon, whispering to myself. "What would be a good match-up? No, Lilligant is a bad idea; maybe Goodra? Did you bring your partner Akari?"

Akari paused, nodding. "Of course, wait, Cyllene's task. There was word of a mysterious Pokemon causing havoc."

I began to climb the cliffside, nodding. Zorua jumped on my head as we climbed. "Well, great. Then I'll fight this new Pokemon, and we can be known as heroes."

Making it to the base of the cliff, I fell silent in awe as Akari kept rambling. "That there are—in the grass, in forests, by water, or wherever they like. Our job as the Survey Corps is to research them and discover what kind of creatures they are! Not for you to run around like this is some game!"

"Y/N?" She whispered, climbing the top with me pausing.

There in front of us stood the mysterious new Pokemon, which looked like Salamence but something different. "This is incredible..."

Akari looked back to my Pokedex, nodding. "You were right; maybe this is a different regional variant like your Zorua."

"Yeah," I whispered, looking at Akari with the most prominent smug look as I held up a Pokeball. "I'm going to catch it."

"You've got to be kidding me..."

Jumping into battle, Zorua joined me with a battle cry. Crouched down, I smirked, holding my hand out. "Our luck has been pretty dire lately, Mimi; let's change that around, shall we!?"

The strange Salamence took notice of us roaring, hovering above the trees. Then, as the sun shone, it opened its wings, glowing faintly.

"Did it just get more powerful? I don't think we should sit around and find out. Mimi, blind it with Night Daze!"

Zorua jumped between the trees, getting close and letting off a pitch-black shockwave, blinding the Pokemon. It retaliated with a flamethrower that barely missed. "Careful, Mimi! Remember, speed over power. Get around and hit it with another Night Daze!"

Zorua flipped forward, propelling itself from a tree trunk and reaching right in front of the strange Salamence, disrupting it with another Night Daze. The Pokemon roared, taking minor damage; tucking its wings back, he began recklessly bombarding Zorua, with little chance to dodge.

"Look out, Y/N!" Akari shouted.

The strange Salamence blew the area up with a double edge, destroying the trees around us. I quickly rolled out of the way, running with Zorua, who was unharmed. "Thank God for your ghost typing! But we're not done yet! Mimi, while it's distracted, get behind it and use Skitter Smack!"

Zorua nodded, darting ahead, ducking under fallen trunks bouncing off a tree and reaching behind our foe. Then, letting off the sneak bug attack, The strange Salamence roared out, hitting the ground.

Super effective!

Taking the Pokeball from my belt, I lined up, flinging the ball forward. "Go!"

A direct hit! The strange Salamence was pulled inside the Pokeball as it fell. Zorua and I stayed alert, watching the ball shake.

One. Two. Three.

A small firework erupted from the ball, confirming the best news all day. I began scrambling over, jumping for joy. "Alright! Mimi, we did it!"

Akari took a sigh of relief, coming out from hiding. "Is it over?"

Holding my prize up, I looked proud, nodding. "I think it is, man, when the others hear of this!"

"That Pokemon was scary... It wasn't a Salamence, was it?"

"No. But if anyone knows what it is, it's the Professor."

Agreeing with me, Akari turned around. "Come on; we should head back before any more trouble occurs."

I kept looking to my newest ally, ecstatic. Taking the first step, Zorua by my side, I felt a sudden gust of wind pass me by. Dozens of Pokemon flew out from the trees. Everything went silent. I turned, looking to where we were, just anxious. Something wasn't right here.

"Y/N, what's wrong?"

I felt a faint vibration from my Pokeball, alerting me with worry. This was soon matched by the ground shaking. Stumbling back, I looked up as a blinding light consumed the sky. "A time-space distortion!?"

Akari crouched behind a rock, shouting back. "This isn't like any I've seen. Y/N, get out of there!"

Soon enough, I felt my Pokeball being tugged. No, I was forced into the air. I felt my feet leave the floor for a split second as I shot down, holding the ball for dear life. "What the!?"

Zorua was just as scared, jumping on my shoulder to get me to flee. While I tried, I was suddenly pulled into the air, the Pokeball being sucked into the light. "Y/N!"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! What's going on!?" I scream, unable to let go. "Mimi, hold on!"

A white light fully blinded me

"My dream is almost within reach."

"I can see it, the past returning to life."

"I just need more time."

I don't know how long I was out. I don't know what happened. But I began to awake with a heavy blast of wind brushing against my face. Slowly opening my eyes, I looked to be riding on something. A Pokemon? Everything was a blur as a lightning strike ignited what little I could see.

When I was coming too again, I felt a sudden push; I was falling. Falling.

Falling!

I shot awake, falling high from the sky. Swinging my arms around, I yelled, unable to stop myself. Reaching for my Pokeballs, my belt was gone. It must have fallen off during the battle. Screaming, I suddenly saw Zorua falling beside me, just as scared.

I grabbed her, gripping my partner close. "Mimi! I got you!"

It felt like an entirety as I fell, but eventually, I crashed into the water. Gasping for air, I struggled to reach land, coughing up seawater. Hunched over, shivering, I didn't let go of Zorua, who was just as banged up. Lying on a soft beach, the sun glossed over me. I felt exhausted, weak and drained.

What little I managed to see, I didn't recognise. Cliffsides, what looked to be a house over the horizon and just ahead of a Pokemon battle arena? I had no energy to move as I huddled Zorua as if my life depended on it.

I heard someone shouting in the distance. I couldn't make out anything as someone came running towards me before I blacked out.
