Summary: Topher Brink accessed a file he wasn't supposed to. Before Alpha, before Echo, he was Omega, a doll who glitches, a doll that remembered. Inspired by The Ghost of Topher Brink by CallisteDawn. AU.
Author Notes: I recently have been re-watching a few older TV shows that were unfortunately canceled. I personally really like the character Topher so I wrote a fanfiction about him. This might be a multi-chapter fanfiction or a single one shot or multiple one shots. I still haven't decided. Hope you enjoy.

Chapter 1:
Active: Omega,
Where Omega Becomes Someone Else
He was a typical doll. He did well enough to stay in the dollhouse, but didn't do too well to pose a threat. His name is Omega. And Omega liked swimming and rock climbing, and tai chi, and like fluffy pancakes for breakfast.
But he remembered before when he wasn't Omega, but when he was James. James who like Thomas. Thomas who was rich and funny and nice. James who remembers kissing Thomas, and rolling around with him on a bed. He remembered getting really dizzy and that the drink in his hand making his head feel full and heavy. James remembered the skyline as the sunset over the ocean. He also remembered a man in a black suit who came to pick him up and was called Dominic. James remembers telling Thomas that he would be back after his treatment. Like James, Omega enjoyed his treatments.
He remembers being Mike. Mike who is a white hat and spy for the NSA, still trying to work out the best way to infiltrate a firewall to off-line network without being detected. He remembers pulling the trigger of a semi-automatic Smith & Wesson SD40 VE pistol, who he called Vera, into the chest of Nathaniel Cooperson and his goons when they tried to kill him. Mike remembers walking away with the information in his pockets and opened the back door in their coding systems. Of course he had to be pulled away for his treatment before he could continue working with the NSA, according to their policy. Omega, however thought Mike was a bit mean, a bit too rough, but he understood that the job need to be done and wondered if it would've been a better way to do it.
Jonathan was Omega's favorite. He liked Jonathan's job and his wife. Jonathan is an accountant at a big law firm. There's nothing really special about Jonathan except for his wife. Jonathan thinks his wife is perfect. He thinks everything she does is brilliant and amazing. He loves spending the weekends with her, and hates being apart from her during those long work weeks. Jonathan knows how to cook, and is happy to do all the cleaning. He can get her taxes done within two hours with the whole weekend left to spare. Jonathan has spent his entire life being the whizz kid of math. He likes not being the important one.
Omega thought Anthony was annoying sometimes, but Omega can see why he's necessary. Anthony or Tony is broken. After years of being deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq he finally broke. He now works as a mercenary, killing for the highest bidder, stealing for the highest bidder, and stocking for the highest bidder. He uses skills as a private eye, and an assassin, or whatever it is his clients need him to be. The particular client that called him was some CEO of Fortune 500 company. And he requited to put his rivals under. Tony, instead of killing his client's competitors, buried them in public humiliation. No one would ever work with them again, Tony was smart like that.
But no matter how much he liked or disliked any of the people he was or were they never stayed. Never stayed whole, but pieces got left behind. Omega could remember them. He remembers their skills and talents. Some people he used to be fade faster than others, and some latch on harder, longer. And sometimes Omega's head hurts when they start talking to each other. Sometime he wished that they would go away so he could sleep.
Omega usually sat down with Juliet, and Romeo, and Foxtrot. Juliet has red hair, about as old as he is and is a much better painter than he would ever be. Romeo is older, he thinks, because his graying hair. Romeo gets hurt more than the rest of them. He is also better at rock climbing wall than his is. Omega believes that Foxtrot is the youngest in the group. Mostly because he's only started noticing she was here up until a few weeks ago. At first she followed him around. But now she's gone so often that he misses her sometimes. Omega liked having breakfast and dinner together even if they didn't really talk much. Omega likes sleeping in his pod and exercising. But he also like visiting Dr. Rivers in his office. He knows that when he goes in there, that sometimes he comes out as Omega, and sometimes he comes out as someone else.
One day Dr. Rivers calls Omega to his office. Omega has a weird feeling as he approaches Dr. Rivers' office, it's a weird achy feeling in his chest, something that Gabriel, another in his head, gets before he jumps out of an airplane. Omega knows it's not excitement, and worries that that it is fear. And before Omega knows it he's in front of Dr. Rivers.
As Dr. Rivers greeting him at the office door he notices a woman with long brown hair, standing straight and a man in a grey suit, the one who follows him around and knows is called Dominic. He smiles at them, and the woman smiles back. But Dominic only scowls at him, he hopes that someday if he smiles enough maybe Dominic will smile back, like all the others do.
Dr. Rivers asks him to sit in the chair that parked in the middle of the room. Omega obeys. Omega likes his treatments, he reminds himself, Omega will become someone else for a while, but then he will be Omega again.
"Omega lie back." Dr. Rivers commands. Omega lies back in the chair with his eyes to the celling.
"Now this is only going to hurt for a little bit." Says Dr. Rivers when Omega looks over. Omega nods as he hears the gears of the machine starting up. He looks and sees the woman and Dominic leave when the door closes.
"Ready?" Dr. Rivers asked.
"Should I be ready?" Omega replies. "I'm going to be someone else, right? And then Omega again?"
Dr. Rivers' face is turned away from Omega, and then he slowly turns around. He can't really describe the emotion on Dr. Rivers' face. Tony would say it was the look of surprise, Mike would say it was fear, but Christian, another in his head, would say look at awe.
"Yes Omega, you are going to be someone else, for a while." The doctor pauses, "I'll leave behind something, something just for you." Dr. Rivers says.
The noise in his ears get louder after that, the machine in full swing. Dr. Rivers places the electrodes on his forehead, and they feel cold on his skin. A few more buttons, and clicks, and pings.
Later Omega is no longer Omega, slowly he's becoming something else, someone else, he can only hope that he will be Omega again and maybe whoever he becomes next can be his friend. After all, Omega likes having friends.
Next Time, Chapter 2: While he is working with Dr. Rivers before he retires in a month, Topher gets a visit from Omega.
