Summoning the Dark One
JAS asked for a oneshot of a villain having Emma's dagger. They keep summoning Emma which drives her crazy because she can't go due to having Pan's magic cuff on her wrist. Emma begs her family to take it off so she can poof to them but they won't. Snowing is afraid of the darkness overtaking her so are trying to keep her in the apartment.
Story: I've left you a wee note previously on that idea.
"Please!" Emma begged. "Please, take it off! I need to go to them, but I can't with this damn bracelet thing! I need to stop the voice." Emma slammed her fists against her ears and slumped down against the wall with her eyes screwed tightly shut. "Shut up! I can't go to you!"
"Emma, we can't take the cuff off of you." Snow said, as she and Charming crouched down beside her. "This cuff means you can't use your magic, which includes any dark powers from becoming the Dark One. So until we find Merlin you're safe from giving into its powers." Snow and Charming had been doing their best to keep to keep Emma in the apartment while Merlin was located, but it was made a lot more difficult when a mystery villain broke in during the night and stole the dagger. Emma was now being driven mad by the summons which started so out of the blue.
"Emma, Killian is out there trying to find whoever has that dagger. We already know it's not Zelena because she's still locked up in the psych ward and both Regina and Rumple have turned over new leaves so it's not either of them. He searched George's house already so we're narrowing down the list of people it might be. We'll find that dagger Emma, and we will find Merlin. You've just got to hold on until we do."
"But it's so hard." Emma wailed.
"We know." Charming said, wrapped an arm around her. "We know you're in pain, and that hurts us too, but it'll us all even more if you give in to the darkness. You know that, right?" Emma nodded and Charming held her and let her cry into his shoulder. They wished more than anything that they could end Emma's pain, but it was not going to be so straightforward.
