Undercover

.39 asked for a oneshot of Charming, Henry and Neal protecting Emma.

"Nope. Not going." Little Neal said, folding his arms across his chest. "Daddy said not to let you out of your room because this is a silly idea and you could get hurt. I don't want you to get hurt because you're my bestest big sister." Neal said, giving his sister his best puppy dog eyes. Emma couldn't wait to choke her dad, sending Neal up was a low blow. She was going under cover at the club and that was that, it was the easiest way to stop the drug dealing that was going on. There had been a spike in injuries of the young adult community of Storybrooke. Mostly from LSD and ecstasy tablets but some were taking more hard core drugs. There was definitely some kind of drug ring or cartel going on and the club was the best place to look.

"Neal don't listen to daddy. I wouldn't do anything silly, I'll be fine. Now if you let me go now without a fuss I'll give you two bags of sweets tomorrow." She bargained. Neal smiled and moved out the way. Emma tussled his hair as she moved past him…only to be blocked by Henry at the top of the stairs.

"Grandpa says you're going to do something dangerous tonight and that you need to be convinced not to go. Please don't mom. I've already lost dad." Emma sighed. Really?

"Henry that is a low blow and you know it. I'm not going to die. It's just a little undercover work. I did it all the time when I worked as a bail bonds person. Now do I have to bribe you with sweets too?" Henry shrugged his shoulders.

"Well you don't have to but it can't hurt." Emma rolled her eyes.

"Fine. Two packs of minstrels if you move away now."

"Sold! Stay safe mom!" Henry said, allowed Emma down the staircase. By this point she wasn't surprised to find her dad blocking the door.

"So I see my minions let me down." He said. "But I'm not letting you leave. We're co-sheriffs, Emma, and I did not and shall not agree to this. It's far too dangerous."

"Dad, like I told Henry it's just like the stuff I done before, I know what I'm doing. Besides, RJ Washington, Eliqua O'Neill and Vee Carlin are all still in hospital from that last batch of whatever it was and the kids aren't talking so we as the police force here need to do something. You're not really from this world and you were in a coma for most of the curse. Clubs aren't really your scene to know how to navigate. Let me take this one, dad. I know what I'm doing. I have my phone with me. I'll call straight away if I need backup, promise." Charming sighed.

"You're leaving regardless really, aren't you?" He grumbled. Emma smiled as she reached up on tiptoe to kiss his cheek.

"Got it in one. See you later dad." She said, moving around him to leave. Charming watched as she left, still feeling uneasy about the whole situation.

The next morning, and Emma had Pete Caputo, the secret dealer, behind bars.

"You did a good job, Em." Charming praised her. "He'd still be out there doing all kinds of damage if it wasn't for you. I'm proud of you." Emma smiled and shrugged her shoulders.

"All in a day's work for the Saviour."
