Snatched

Let it Snow asked for a oneshot of someone teasing Neal about nearly being snatched by Zelena but he didn't know the whole story. He is anxious to sleep alone so goes to sleep on the couch where Snow finds him.

Guest123: I'm afraid that has been too closely covered.

Dutchie: I've already written a oneshot of Neal turning Emma into an animal :)

Tuttut cheerio: And?... You appear to accidentally not finished your request haha. Although forgive me a little chuckle at tetris jag. Is this to prevent addiction to the game? You mean tetanus :)

Guest who asked for something along the lines of Emma being endangered: I'm a bit confused by your request, sorry! Folks, please make sure I can understand your request when you send it, so check it's coherent enough for someone who's never read it before to make sense of it, i.e. please don't use text language or ramble haha (this message does not apply if English is not your first language. In that case I totally understand and think you're doing a fab job to be able to write down anything in another language, a skill that's eluded me for twenty years. Je m'appelle or me llamo is about my limit).

Guest100: I'm afraid I don't know enough about jockeys to write about them.

Guest who asked for student Emma with Henry: I'm afraid that's been too closely covered.

Guest who asked for Emma's magic turning her into a toddler but with her adult mind: I'm afraid this has been too closely covered.

Guest who asked for Emma going into the forest: writing things involving spanking isn't really my forte.

Ann: sorry, but Black Friday isn't really a thing here so I don't have enough experience to write about it convincingly.

Sofi: I'm afraid that's already been too closely covered.

Guest who asked for Emma coming home drunk: this has already been too closely covered I'm afraid.

He hadn't believed Dayanara Ruiz when she'd started winding him up about it. Daya was a vindictive girl who delighted in upsetting the other people in her class. It just so happened that it was Neal's turn right now. Daya insisted that the Wicked Witch had nearly kidnapped Neal as a baby. Apparently the whole town was gossiping about it at the time. Daya had teased him, saying he should have stayed with the Wicked Witch, that way he wouldn't be there to annoy everyone in the class with his annoying hero parents and Saviour sister. Neal thought she was lying at first- nobody had ever tried to kidnap him, had they? But after a quick discussion with Henry, Neal found out that apparently it was true. The revelation had completely freaked the little boy out. What if this Zelena lady came back? What if she still wanted to try and steal him away? Henry had assured Neal that Zelena was long gone, and that she only wanted Neal so she could go back in time and she'd managed that anyway, but that didn't make Neal feel much safer.

That night, Neal couldn't sleep. He was too frightened that Zelena would sneak in and take him away. He grabbed his dressing gown as a blanket and headed down to the couch. He figured that was close enough to his parents' room that if she did come they would hear him if he screamed. What Neal hadn't figured was that he'd be so close that his mom would wake up hearing him walking about downstairs.

"Neal?" She whispered, wandering into the living room. Neal jumped, thinking it was Zelena. But he soon relaxed when he saw his mom. Snow tilted her head to the side knowingly.

"You're worried that Zelena's coming to get you, aren't you?" She asked. Neal was taken aback.

"How did you know?" He asked. Snow came and sat beside Neal on the couch.

"Henry told me. Thought something like this might happen." Snow explained. She took Neal round the middle and pulled him over to her. "He said he'd explained there was no threat from her anymore, but I'm going to repeat it for you- Neal, Zelena isn't going to kidnap you. Even if she was still around do you think your dad and I would let her?"

"No." Neal answered in a quiet voice.

"No, exactly. Neal we would never have left you with her. Not after what happened with your sister, we had a chance to save you and we weren't going to let you down and we never will. Think you're ready to go back up to bed?" Neal thought about it, but the truth was he felt secure here with his mother's arms snuggly around him.

"A couple more minutes." He said shyly. Snow smiled, stroking through his hair, knowing how he was really feeling.

"Alright baby."
