Happy 4th of July

A guest asked for a oneshot of a family dinner should there have been no curse. I'm not American, so don't know very much about the traditions of Independence Day in America aside from their being fireworks. However, I can write something with victory and celebration.

"To us!" Charming cried, raising his goblet of mead high. "We have finally made George and his men surrender. He has given up his throne and we will now be able to reunite loved ones by combining our kingdoms together! There was a loud cheer down the large table as the whole family and their closest friends celebrated together. Charming sat down and Snow placed her hand over his and gently squeezed. The lovers looked deep into each other's eyes, they had finally one. It had only taken them twenty years! The royal couple surveyed the table as servants brought in the trays upon trays of food for them all to share and enjoy together. Their five beautiful children and their dashing grandson. Sure, Emma's pregnancy had taken them by surprise, and they were still peeved that she put her foot down on keeping the father's identity under wraps, but their gorgeous little grandson was worth it all. They couldn't believe he was already

"Christopher, don't worry, I spoke to chef Baptiste, and he's made sure that there is a chicken pot pie without any gravy. I know you're not a fan of it."

"Thanks mom!" Christopher called from his space at the table.

"And Emma, I know you're still complaining about baby weight so your dessert is more berries and less cream, alright? And Henry has kiddie sized portions for everything."

"You're the best, mom." Emma said, already cutting up Henry's first course. Snow and Charming would always cherish events like this. Just a chance to enjoy the company of their loved on and celebrate that good will always win.
