A/N

Based on the lyrics of Part of That World from The Little Mermaid (1989). To be sung rather than read, so to speak. Also, haven't seen Ruby Gillman, so not sure if this quite syncs up with Nerissa/Chelsea's motives, but I guess that's, ahem, "poetic license."

To Rule That World

Look at these fools,

Strolling around.

These hairless apes,

Think they're lords of the ground.

I'm going to drown all these fools.

Take from them everything.

...

Flowers around me,

Thrown by these dregs.

Landing upon,

These extensions called legs.

Looking at this you might think,

"But you have everything?"

...

I've got this whole school in my pocket.

I've got that sweet kraken girl on the run.

Should I stop now? Oh poor sweet child.

Misery, adoration,

It's so much fun.

...

I want power, of the total kind.

I want this world in the clutch of my hand.

I want to be loved, and worshipped,

Just like a queen.

...

The ocean my playground, but I still want more,

8 billion slaves, to answer my whims.

Call it nightmare if you must,

But to me it's my dream.

...

Up where they breathe,

I'll never leave,

Ruling divine,

Till end of all time,

I shall claim this world.

...

Sunk too many a barge, I've grown too large,

For my home waters.

With trident in hand, I shall pierce the land,

All my foes slaughtered.

...

And still none suspect, their brains are defects,

And yes I am still singing.

Their party's over, reaching their coda,

So let's now end this drek.

...

I'm ready to go, let's get on with this show,

I bet that damn kraken will make one last move.

But what of it now? I'm having my fun,

I am in the mood.

...

Push came to shove, I've run out of love,

I'm going to enslave this whole world up above.

Beyond the sea,

Bring misery,

To the whole human world.
