Needing extra comfort

A guest asked for a oneshot of a stressed adult Emma slipping into a small child mindset. Snowing find it worrying but go with it. So, I am going to put out a disclaimer now that if you find an adult acting like a small child in any way uncomfortable to skip this chapter. Some people use this as a way of healing or stress relief so be respectful with any reviews on this chapter.

She just refused to uncurl herself from the foetal position she'd gotten herself into on the couch. She refused to release her tight hold she had on her blanket. She refused to be an adult. Fortunately Henry was with Regina that weekend and Neal was at a sleepover with his friend Lee, so it was just her parents in the house with her. They had known Emma was having a stressful week. They hadn't realised it was this stressful. It didn't bother Snow or Charming that Emma was acting like a small child, it bothered her that she was hurting and scared. If this is what it took to help her feel safe, then they would appease her.

"Don't wanna move mommy." Emma whimpered. "Don't want mommy or daddy to leave."

"Baby we're not leaving." Charming promised her, rubbing circles on her back. "You're ok. Do you want anything?" Emma shook her head, her thumb finding its way into Emma's mouth.

"Just mommy and daddy." She mumbled. Both Snow and Charming bent down and kissed the side of Emma's head. Snow reached for the remote control and switched the TV onto some cartoons.

"There Emmy, look. Doc McStuffins. Wanna watch?" Emma looked up from her blanket curiously. Snow and Charming could see Emma relaxing as she watched the episode. She eventually sat up between her parents, but panicked if either tried to move away. But Snow and Charming had no intention of leaving, not if Emma needed them.
